| Abstract: | The requirements of the manufacture of ammonium phosphate by the slurry process for the reaction of ammoniation of dilute phosphoric acid and the reaction characteristics are outlined. It is pointed out that the prevention of direct reaction of the acid with ammonia and even mixing with intense turbulence are the keys to the manufacture of ammonium phosphate slurry with good physical properties. Four available types of reaction equipment for ammoniation of dilute phosphoric acid are also reviewed. |
