摘    要:真实感和实时性是虚拟现实技术中相互对立着的关键和核心。该文从引擎的底层细节开始讨论,侧重引擎实时性的要求,分析、提出了引擎所应具有的“驱动性”、“完整性”和“独立性”的特征,着重介绍了实时虚拟现实引擎中的若干关键技术,最后给出了一个室内场景三维图形引擎及其应用的实例。

Abstract:Realism and real time are the kernel of Virtual Reality. However, little work has been done on the base techniques systematically because of some reasons. VR Engine Project is a new way to solve this problem. Engine is in fact an API function package. For drawing, it should provide interface layers for both Direct3D and OpenGL. For sound and audio, it should be layered on top of a public or private sound library. In this paper, on the basis of discussion of the VR Engine framework, the requirements of a VR Engine are outlined and a particular engine's components are also illustrated. Some key techniques in real-time VR Engine are analyzed in detail. In the end, the applications of an indoor real-time engine are illustrated.
