中国城市高速发展原因很多。有政治体制原因,历史社会原因,也有经济结构原因。在经济结构方面,主要是资本形成总额占GDP比重过高,全国固定资产投资和基本建设规模过大。结果是最终消费比重过低,贫富差距和城乡差距扩大。

There are a lot of factors causing the rapid urban development in China, such as political system, historical and social background, and eco- nomic structure. In terms of economic structure, the most important reasons are that the percentage that gross capital formation accounts for is too high in the GDP, and that the scale of the total investment in fixed assets and basic construction is too large, which results in the low final consumption ratio and the enlarged difference both between the rich and the poor and between urban and rural areas.
