The casting weight of marine cylinder block is very large,and due to the casting structure design and production process,the casting often appears a large number of scab defects,even lead to casting scrap,resulting in serious economic losses.Based on the analysis,the mechanism of the Scab Defects in the casting was obtained.Based on this,the process scheme was improved.After a series of production verification,the problem of sandbox explosion in casting process was solved,and the Scab Defect of marine engine cylinder block casting was effectively solved,and batch production was gradually realized.
