通过调查分析,摸清了北京步行和自行车交通存在的主要问题及原因,结合居民出行距离分布明确了未来步行、自行车交通发展趋势。采用理论研究与实践分析相结合的方法,从保障步行、自行车交通在路段、交叉口及过街设施等方面的有效通行空间,以及为步行、自行车交通创造良好、舒适的出行环境两方面提出了系统的改善对策,并结合北京的实践进行了实例分析。

How to Improve Traffic Conditions for Pedestrian and Bicycling in Beijing

This paper analyzes traffic conditions for pedestrian and bicycling in Beijing and defines the trend of pedestrian and bicycling given the different transportation distance of residents. Based on the theoretical research and practical study, this paper proposes systematic improvement measures from two aspects. One aspect is to guarantee effective space for pedestrians and bicycle-users at urban road sections, intersections and crossing facilities and the other aspect is to create a better and comfortable transportation environment. In addition, this paper makes a case study of the traffic in Beijing.
