| Abstract: | The present paper points out that a knowledge base is the core and foundation of the smelting expert system for a blast furnace. It also introduces the knowledge acquisition, knowledge presentation as well as knowledge storage structure of the knowledge base, and discusses way to build up a smelting expert system for BF. |
