| Abstract: | This article reviews the sand control methods developed and used at Gudong Oil Field in Shengli. These are mechanical methods: gravel filled wire wrapped screen; various filter tubes(packed with epoxy resin cemented quartz, with sintered porous copper alloy; with metal wire mat); chemical methods; in situ gelation of phenol/formaldehyde solution, cement/quartz mixture in aqueous suspension, phenolic resin coated sands, in situ gelation of urea/formaldehyde solution; combinational mechanical/chemical methods and clay stabilization/sand consolidation/sand retention methods. some comments are made for further development of sand control measurements. Gudong Oil Field is poor consolidated sandstone reservoirs of viscous oil. |
