摘 要: | H.264是由ISO/IEC和ITu—T共同制定的新的视频编码标准,在未来的视频通信领域具有广泛的应用前景。为降低复杂度,提出了一种有效的帧间预测模式选择算法,使编码速度显著提高。实验结果显示,优化算法对于不同的量化步长可以明显减少运动估计耗时,同时PSNR的平均减小低于0.5dB,对图像质量的影响可以忽略,而输出码流比特率的增加仅在1.5%以内。根据改进的算法模型,设计了模式选择算法的硬件架构,完成了Soc实现,在典型0.18μm工艺标准单元库的基础上进行综合,面积约为18×10^4门,频率可以到达166MHz。

Abstract: | This paper proposed an efficient inter-frame prediction mode selection algorithm, improve the encoding speed significantly. The experiment results show that optimization algorithm for different quantization step size, can reduce time-consuming in motion estimation significantly,while the average PSNR decreases less than 0.5 dB,the impact on image quality can be ignored,and the output stream bit-rate increase only less than 1.5%. According to the optimization algorithm, than design the hardware architecture of the inter-frame prediction mode selection. An ASIC implementation of the design is carried out in a 0.18 μm standard cell library of silicon technology,the estimated frequency is 166 MHz and the area includes 180,000 gates. |
