Abstract:Aiming at conservativeness and inaccuracy in ampacity calculation by IEC 60287(hereinafter referred to as IEC 60287 algorithm),the paper suggests adopting iterative algorithm which is superior in accuracy and scope of application to IEC 60287 algorithm.By technology program of Guangdong Power Grid Corporation-recommended value of soil temperature for ampacity research,ampacity of the cables of line A and B of 220 kV Qi-Tian line is analyzed via iterative algorithm and cable sections with ampacity bottleneck are evaluated in particular and calculated.The conclusion is that ampacity of line A and B of 220 kV Qi-tian line in two-circuit operation is 1 071 A,and 1 298 A in single-circuit operation,which is respectively 102 A and 118 A higher than that by IEC 60287 algorithm.Thus iterative algorithm is more practical.In order to avoid bottleneck in transmission of new lines,the paper suggests keeping certain margin,controlling temperature at ampacity bottleneck and building accurate basis information of cables and superior laying mode of tunnels.
