| Abstract: | By analyzing various thoughts andtechniques of urban planning, the modern plan-ning notions can be summarized as four points,including the humanity concern, the inheritingof historical culture, the construction of urbancharacter as well as the urban environment pro-tection and sustainable development. Based onthis, the author also makes a particular researchon the origins and connotations of the notions,and gives some good examples on how to applythem. |
