US Navy Communications Equipment and Technical Development in 2014

In 2014, the US Navy launched a lot of research and equipment deployment around hot topics in the field of military communications and data links,such as battlefield network system, advanced tactical data link systems, airborne communication systems, satellite communication systems and new communication technologies. Tracking the developments status and studying the developments trend of communications equipment and technology in foreign military could provide some significant reference for promoting the construction of PLA naval communications and electronic warfare capacity. This paper gives an overview of the US Navy communication equipments and technical developments in 2014 and discussions of the future development trend of navy information network, data link and software radio.
