| Abstract: | The first part of this two-part review considers the theoretical and experimental results obtained on liquid spread and evaporation on large LNG spills on water. Both instantaneous spills, in which the spill time is much smaller than the time for complete vaporization, and continuous spills are considered. Also applications of the correlations are discussed. |
