An animation facility for computer-aided design

An interactive graphic extension of a continuous systems simulation language is discussed aimed at providing a general purpose support for animation. The interactive commands available to the user are described together with an explanation of how the basic set of commands can be extended using commands suitable for the particular design problem. A selection of applications are described.
