| Abstract: | The unmanned operation of machine tools and manufacturing systems requires the integration of recently developed special purpose monotiring equipment. In this paper the pattern recognition model of monitoring problems and its use in general purpose monitoring systems are discussed. Following a brief survey of the available discriminant functions and learning procedures, a realized on-line monitoring system with pattern recognition facilities and some results are presented. |
