| Abstract: | As the opening remarks of the Symposium on Translation and Discourse on Tectonics in Contemporary China,the article examines the relationship between tectonic discourse and poetics of construction from the perspective of architectural historiography,calling for the formation of a Chinese tectonic discourse both in terms of its cultural heritage and contemporary practice. |
