EPON技术在边远地区宽带接入中的应用

为了实现边远地区村村通宽带的目的,采用一种新型的光纤接入网EPON技术接入法,做了多次边远地区EPON接入模式应用试验,获得农村边远地区宽带、电话、IPTV等现有业务接入的结果,得到在光纤资源短缺的情况下,EPON技术是实现农村边远地区宽带接入的最佳解决方案的结论;EPON接入模式具有运营与维护成本低、易于维护、扩充性好、业务丰富等特点。

Application of EPON technology in broadband access of remote areas

In order to achieve the goal of extending broadband access into every village of remote areas,a novel optical-fiber broadband access technology,named as EPON,was adopted and the experiments of EPON access patterns in remote areas were made to analyze such available services as broadband,telephone,IPTV,etc.The results indicate that EPON technology is the optimal solution to realize broadband access in remote villages where there is a shortage of optical-fiber resource.EPON access patterns have the advantages of low operating and maintenance costs,simple maintenance,good scalability,various services and so on.
