Abstract:Adaptive sidelobe cancellation is an effective measure to suppress active jamming against radar.Generally sampling matrix inversion(SMI) algorithm is used to calculate optimal weights.For a radar with mechanical scanning in azimuth,because zero points of the antenna pattern is narrow due to cancellation,while jammed direction will vary with turning of antenna.By comparing jamming cancellation ratio variation obtained by using of SMI and recursive least square(RLS) algorithms,the result is obtained that RLS algorithm is capable of tracking angular variation,and reasons for performance degradation of RLS in some cases are presented.
