Abstract:The solid solution of Sr_(1-x)Ca_xCuO_2 is investigated by means of XRD,EPMA and EDAXmethods.It is found that in the Bi_(1.7)Pb_(0.3)Sr_2Ca_3Cu_4O_y superconductor prepared by the meltquenching method the above solid solution is a main non-superconductive phase which promotesthe phase transformation from Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_8 to Bi_2Sr_2Ca_2Cu_3O_(10) by providing the elementsof Ca and Cu.The value of the atomic fraction of Ca in Sr_(1-x)Ca_xCuO_2 decreases while thephase of Bi_2Sr_2Ca_2Cu_3O_(10) increases.
