| Abstract: | The characteristics and challenges of the design and construction of a deep excavation supporting system in peat soils in Kunming are introduced in this paper. Using field monitoring data, it is concluded that the circular internal supporting sys- tem has advantages over other shoring methods for deep excavations in peat soils. |
