Abstract:Micro-particle retention and drainage aid system which can achieve high retention efficiency and increase dewatering rate without harming the sheet formation has been widely used in pulp and paper industry. The micro-particles play important roles in the function of retention and drainage aid system. In this paper the research status of inorganic micro-particle,as well as the organic micro-particle was reviewed. The idea of developing novel organic micro-particle with the structure highly branched was also proposed.
