溶胶–凝胶法合成Nd:YAG粉体及透明陶瓷的制备

摘    要:以Y2O3和硝酸盐为原料,柠檬酸为络合剂,采用溶胶–凝胶法合成了Nd0.03Y2.97Al5O12(Nd:YAG)干凝胶,经不同温度焙烧后制得前驱粉体,然后将粉体经1700℃真空烧结制备了Nd:YAG透明陶瓷。对柠檬酸的络合作用进行了探讨,对粉体及透明陶瓷的结构、形貌和光学性能进行了研究。结果表明:柠檬酸与硝酸盐发生络合反应形成有机网络结构,有效减轻了粉体颗粒间的团聚;950℃焙烧后得到纯相Nd:YAG粉体,颗粒细小并呈片状;Nd:YAG透明陶瓷致密度高(理论密度的95%),晶粒尺寸约为10μm,在1060nm处的透射率为63%。

Abstract:Nd0.03Y2.97Al5O12 (Nd:YAG) gel was synthesized by the sol-gel method with Y2O3 and nitrate as raw materials, citric acid as complexing agent. And powders were obtained after furnacing the gel at different temperatures. Transparent ceramics were then prepared by vacuum sintering at 1 700 ℃. The complexation effect of citric acid was studied, and the structure, morphology and optical properties of the powders and transparent ceramics were investigated. The agglomeration of the (Nd:YAG) powders is effectively mitigated with the formation of the organic network structure caused by the complexation reaction between citric acid and nitrate. Flake-like, fine and pure phase Nd:YAG powders are obtained after furnacing the gel at 950 ℃. The prepared Nd:YAG transparent ceramics possess a high density (95% of theoretical density), a grain size of about 10 μm, and a transmissivity of 63% (for the light with a wavelength of 1 060 nm).
