Abstract:Through theoretical analysis and field measurements,the effect and mechanism of descensional ventilation on the decrease of face temperature have been studied in this paper.The theoretical findings have been vorified by a large number of date obtained from field meassurements.The whole study has shown that the cooling effect is mainly due to the lower heat emission in the upper gate than that in the lower gate of a working face,and the number is often 1~5℃.
