The story of Art Nonveau furniture would be imcomplete if it did not include Carlo Bugatti of Milan, the remarkable, isolated talent. Having evolved a highly personal style of furniture during the 1880s and 1890s in Moorish taste and incorporating painted vellum, wrought brass or copper and inlaid wood, he surprised his public with his quite extraordinary suite of rooms created for the Turin International Exhibition of 1902.
