Abstract: | Volumetric displays with numerous fronto-parallel planes-images stimulating eye accommodation are considered. The depth of the focal field is determined as a function of the axial intensity distribution. Results of interpolation of images between the planes are presented. It is shown that the best resolution and visual comfort are reached if the distance between the planes does not exceed the diffractive depth of focus. |
