Estimate of Asymptotic Stability Domain for Large Scale Power System

In this paper, large scale power system with nonuniform mechanical damping is considered, and the asymptotie stability domain estimate for this system which is not of the form v(x) < c as in known methods is determined using the decomposition-aggregation method. This estimate is larger than that obtained by method proposed by M. A. Pai, and can reduce the usual conservativeness. A four machines power system with nonuni-form damping is given to show the use of this result.
