Abstract:Cathode materials Li4Ti5O12 for secondary lithium batteries was prepared with different TiO2 by solid-state reaction method. The results of charge/discharge tests indicated that Li4Ti5O12 prepared with TiO2 mesoporous material showed better electrochemical capabilities than other Li4Ti5O12 materials synthesized with raw TiO2 or P25. A much higher specific capacity of 162.1 mAh/g could be obtained by Li4Ti5O12 prepared with TiO2 mesoporous material in the discharge progress at 0.2 C rate, and a capacity of 102.9 mAh/g could still be held after 65 cycles at 2 C rate. The electrochemical capacities of Li4TisO12 prepared with TiOa mesoporous material were also investigated by electrochemical impedance spectrums (EIS). CV curves of Li4Ti5O12 prepared with TiO2 mesoporous material was given too in the paper.
