Determination of Boundary Point between Long Crack and Short Crack and the Prediction on Spread Life-time of Short Crack

The partial stress strain field at the root of notch is qualitatively analyzed by elastic-plastic theory.So doing this the boundary point between long crack and short crack could be determined.The methods predicting the short crack spread life time at notch are put forward which have certain value to increase the prediction accuracy of whole fatigue life time at notch simply and reasondably.
