Abstract:Atrazine is widely used as herbicide to control weeds in the world, which is a ubiquitous environment pollutant in soils. This paper developed an environmentally friendly and timesaving, laborsaving method for trace analysis of atrazine residue in soil sample. The dynamic residue analysis of real soil samples from a rice field area in Guang Xi, P. R. China was made. Atrazine degrades relatively slowly and its half-life in soil was 14.5-15.3 days, and after rice harvest, there was still 16.85% to 20.38% total residual atrazine in the soil.
