摘    要:在ATM网络的ABR通信中,基于速率反馈的流量控制是防止拥塞和保证高吞吐量的主要手段之一,然而网络的传播时延对其具有很大的不利影响。本文根据网络控制的特点,采用Kalman控制算法对流量控制器进行设计,较好地克服了传播时延所带来的不利影响。理论分析表明该算法保证了网络缓冲器的不溢出及带宽的公平分配和充分利用,动态性能明显优于PID控制器,并得到了仿真结果的验证。

Abstract:The rate-based traffic control is one of the important means that avoid congestion and guarantee high throughput for ABR communication in ATM networks. However, the propagation delay in networks has a great adverse effect on it. This paper applies Kalman control algorithm for the design of traffic controller, which can overcome the adverse effect caused by propagation delay better. Theoretical analysis shows that the scheme guarantees no buffer overflow and utilizes the bandwidth fairly and sufficiently, and the dynamical quality is much better than PID controller, which are verified by simulation.
