| 摘 要： | 1995年后中国女性在担任高校教师职务方面呈良性发展趋势。但女教师学历、职称低，参与高教管理程度低，社会认同感和自我评价低，学科分布的性别隔离等，导致中国高校女教师地位现状不佳，对此，国家、社会、高校应更新观念，以法律保障为前提，为高校女教师创造公平的竞争环境，充分发掘女教师的潜能，让更多的女教师施展才华，从而改善和提升中国高校女教师的整体地位。

| Abstract: | This paper narrates the process that Chinese women took up teacher post in China institutions of higher learning since 1995. It also discusses the status of women teachers in China institutions of higher learning. In the end, the countermeasures for improving women teachers＇ status are provided. |
