Abstract:The largest unit capacity of 1000MW hydrogenerator will be made in China.For such a large capacity of the hydrogenerator,it is very important to obtain the synchronous reactance parameter accurately.In this paper,the synchronous reactances of a 1000MW hydrogenerator were obtained by analyzing and calculating detailedly the electromagnetic field of the generator.Also some factors were discussed to effect the saturated synchronous reactance including load case,power factor and ratio of the damping winding pit...
