Abstract:PDMS/SiO 2 hybrid material possesses excellent optical and mechanical properties. which can be used in high heat resistence material, coating material, computer and information etc. This materials with poisonousness can be prepared for biological active material by adjusting the content of PDMS. The recent results of PDMS/SiO 2 hybrid material were summarized, the hybrid mechanism, factors affecting structure and properties and applications were discussed also.
