Achievements made in second Loess Plateau Watershed Rehabilitation Project in Kongdong district project area

Great improvements have been made in ecological environment recovery, agricultural infrastructure construction and sustainability of social developmen t, since the implementation of Second Loess Plateau Watershed Rehabilitation Pro ject in Kongdong district of Liangping city in Gansu province. The most importan t preconditions for the success of the project are scientific planning, widely m otivation and education, and improvement of management system and monitoring sys tem. The project greatly promotes the development of water and soil conservation work in the project area.
