| Abstract: | The geological characteristics of the Xinshan polymetallic deposit in Mengla County, Yunnan are summarized. The analysis of macrocosmic and microcosmic data gives rise to proof for theory of thermal water exhalation. The deposit is proposed to be formed by volcanic exhalation marine thermal deposition controlled by reef depression. This genetic type is conducive to regional prospecting in the Sanjiang area. |
