Abstract:It is a new way of high efficient,simple and accurate method which uses the optical rotation effect of polarized light,though there are many kinds of principles of the micro-displacement measurement.The optical rotation effect is a physics phenomenon that the jar face of the transmission light can produce rotary,when the linearly polarized light pass the quartz crystal on its axle direction,its spin angle relates to crystal thickness.A micro-displacement measurement system which uses laser light,the linearly polarized light,quartz crystal and the micrometer is designed.Test result shows that its measurement precision can achieve 0.1 μm and its measurement range 300 μm,relative error is less than ±1 %,it can meet micro-displacement measurement demand of all kinds of instrumentation,and can be widely used in precise micro-displacement measurement system.
