| Abstract: | Examples of cast irons' successfull application for 9 denominations of main automobile parts were given,including:crankshaft,cylinder block,connecting rod and camshaft for engines,rear axle housing for medium and heavy trucks and steering knuckle for sedan car.The analysis focussed onto the advantange of cast irons over other materials with the purpose to high light the significant position of cast irons in modern automobile inductry. |
