Critiques A. Banuazizi and S. Movahedi's (see record 1975-27442-001) assessment of the simulated prison study (C. Haney et al, 1973). Evidence indicates that the passivity, depression, helplessness, and psychological dysfunction displayed by the prisoners was not just a good performance in response to perceived experimental demand.
