中国建筑的地域文化思考

通过对肯尼.弗兰普顿《批判的地域主义:现代建筑与文化认同》一文的阅读,在今天,现代建筑已经成为一种全球性的语言,在这样一个前所未有的人类进步面前,许多前所未有的矛盾出现了。由于现代建筑的国际化神话并不扎根于所有土壤中,在20世纪的五、六十年代,一场对国际式现代主义建筑的反思开始了,肯尼.弗兰普顿在文章中所论述的并不是狭窄的民族主义,而是一种有活力的地域形式,建筑语言并不是封闭的,而是通过在文化和文明2个层次上吸收外来的影响,与其它的文化一同构成"世界文化"的一部分。

Thoughts on Regionalism in Chinese Architecture

This paper is based on my reflections on reading Towards a Critical Regionalism: modern architecture and cultural cognition by Kenneth Frampton.Architecture today has become an increasingly global phenomenon.In face of great achievements never known to humankind before,new problems emerge.As a counter movement to the international influence of modernism,the 50's and 60's of the 20th century started to witness criticisms of the modernistic International Style.What Kenneth Frampton expounded in his writing is a dynamic regionalism rather than narrow nationalism.The language of architecture is not self contained.It can assimilate foreign influences at culture and civilization levels.Together with other cultural forms,they become part of the World Civilization.
