| Abstract: | Traces of Pb and Cd in medicalsilicone rubbers were determined continuously by V-I method in rapid polarography. The Pb and Cd were dissolved from the rubber and deposited on the positive pole, by using a solution mixture of HNO3-HClO4-NaAc-NaCl as the background liquid. By this simple method, the recovery rates of both Pb and Cd were higher than 96%, the relative standard deviation was below 3.6%, and the minimum detectable traces of Pb and Cd were 0.27 nmol/L and 0.45 nmol/L, respectively. Moreover, the determination of Pb and Cd was not interfered by other metal impurities present in the medical rubbers. |
