Since information technologies have become critical to business success as a tool for organizational innovation, successful implementation of information technology (IT) innovation is viewed as one of the most crucial tasks for many organizations. This paper examines the effects of the contextual factors on the implementation of the client/server system as an interrelated IT innovation. The authors clarify the concept of IT innovation by distinguishing between IT innovation object and IT innovation process and provide the conceptual framework for IT innovation process. Four types of IT innovation implementation were classified according to the dimensions of implementation scope and implementation pace. Today, there are still some amphibolous understanding on the concepts of endogenous innovation and its three patterns in academia field. Grasping the intension and extension of these concepts will contribute to direct the innovation undertakers engaging innovation and the governments establishing innovation system. In order to achieve such aims, we firstly introduced the concept of endogenous innovation and its three patterns. Secondly, this paper established a concept model to describe the typical route of a technology's forming. Based on this model, we went deep into analysis on original innovation, integrative innovation, and re-innovation after digesting the introduced technology from different views. Through these analyses, we also discussed which kind of innovation is suitable for different corporations. In the last part of this paper, we summarized our main conclusions and gave some suggestions to the corporations and governments.  相似文献

Innovation continues to be an ever-more-critical issue as the global economy expands: it determines organizational sustainability. This paper addresses the issues of whether you want to become an innovator and how to become an innovator, from the innovator's perspective. Research on innovation has not provided a theory of innovation. The process of innovation continues to depend on the individual and the environment in which the innovator functions. This paper characterizes the scope and complexity of being the innovator, presents a set of concepts that can be applied in formulating, evaluating, and implementing innovation, considers the skills for dealing with technological uncertainty, and defines the issues that determine success or failure. There are no recipes for becoming the innovator, but there are basics that must be followed. This paper presents an overview of innovation, discusses types of innovation, provides insight to the innovation process, describes what it takes to be an innovator, considers the issues in overcoming resistance to innovation, and explains why innovators fail  相似文献

In this paper, IT Industry's innovation capability is considered to be the innovation output capability after complex operation of industry input in industry system. In this complex process, R&D personnel input and R&D expense input are un-substitutable, and for evaluation of innovation capability, innovation input and innovation output also are un-substitutable. Based on this theory, an evaluation model of sustaining strength index is put forward. Considering both input scale and output contribution of IT industry's innovation system, this model reflects the un-substitutability of every evaluation aspects. The measurement result not only shows the industry innovation capability, but also reflects the support degree to economy. At last the data of IT industry in China are provided between 1994 and 2004 for empirical study.  相似文献

In this paper, IT Industry's innovation capability is considered to be the innovation output capability after complex operation of industry input in industry system. In this complex process, R&D personnel input and R&D expense input are un-substitutable, and for evaluation of innovation capability, innovation input and innovation output also are un-substitutable. 将在线学习共同体(OLC)的学习与知识创新联系起来,可使OLC研究进入新阶段。知识创新属于高层次的认知目标,目前尚无评价框架对基于OLC学习所产生的知识创新水平进行评价。在此以学习目标分类学、创造性思维理论、交互质量水平、SOLO层次模型、创新扩散理论等为基础,构建了一个较为全面的OLC知识创新评价指标体系。该指标体系可以作为对OLC知识创新进行内容分析的类目,也可以作为对OLC知识创新水平进行评价的评价体系。  相似文献
