Electrochemical gas absorption or biotechnical purification processes using structured packing as electrode or as biological support, respectively, may operate in bubble columns in presence of suspended solids. In both systems the knowledge of mass transfer rates from the liquid to the packing is important for the design of equipment. In the present investigation, the fluid dynamic behavior of a simple bubble column and a bubble column containing small size particles, both in presence of structured packing, was studied. Furthermore, mass transfer coefficients between the liquid and the structured packing were obtained by the electrochemical method. The influence of physical properties of the liquid phase, gas flow rate, kind and concentration of the suspended particles on both gas holdup and mass transfer was investigated. Correlations of the experimental data of mass transfer using dimensionless groups were derived and compared to previous correlations. Similarity with a heat transfer expression already used in two-phase systems was found.  相似文献

This paper studies the mass transfer performance of structured packings in the absorption of CO2 from air with aqueous NaOH solution. The Eight structured packings tested are sheet metal ones with corrugations of different geometry parameters. Effective mass transfer area and overall gas phase mass transfer coefficient have been measured in an absorption column of 200 mm diameter under the conditions of gas F-factor in 0.38–1.52 Pa0.5 and aqueous NaOH solution concentration of 0.10–0.15 kmol·m?3. The effects of gas/liquid phase flow rates and packing geometry parameters are also investigated. The results show that the effective mass transfer area changes not only with packing geometry parameters and liquid load, but also with gas F-factor. A new effective mass transfer area correlation on the gas F-factor and the liquid load was proposed, which is found to fit experiment data very well.  相似文献

气液两相不均匀流动是造成填料塔传质效率下降的主要原因之一.采用计算流体力学方法,定量分析规整填料内气液两相流动对传质效率影响的研究尚未见文献报道.从Navier-Stokes方程出发,首先建立了考虑气液之间相互作用的CFD计算模型,定量描述了填料片内的气相流场分布.在此基础上,结合文献中提出的液相结点分布模型及一些经典的传质理论,初步提出了适用于定量计算金属板波纹填料传质效率的耦合型算法,并对规整填料内的传质效率进行了计算,模型结果与实验值吻合较好.为规整填料传质效率的定量研究提供了新的方法和思路.  相似文献

Visualization of local mass transfer coefficients over the dry surface of corrugated‐sheet structured packing is essential for optimizing the existing geometry of structured packing and for improving mass transfer efficiency to develop new structured packing. The local flow patterns between packing sheets and the gas‐phase mass transfer coefficient at each point over the surface are illustrated by employing a wall‐surface reaction model. Different turbulence models are utilized, i.e., a standard κ‐? model and three different low‐Re‐κ‐? models. The numerical calculation results with the Lam‐Bremhorst low‐Re‐κ‐? turbulence model is found to agree well with experimental data. There are three similar regions with enhanced mass transfer efficiency in each mass transfer unit cell of structured packing.  相似文献

在液-液萃取过程中,提高分散相的表面更新速率可有效提高萃取的传质效率。研究发现,在萃取过程中使用气体搅拌可以增加液液之间的接触面积,促进液相内的湍动和循环。本文研究了气-液-液三相下油滴的流动形态,并对不同填料的流体力学性能进行了测定。实验结果表明,气相速度的增加可导致气含率、液含率的增加,从而提高分散相在填料萃取塔中的停留时间,在一定的速度范围内明显降低萃取的表观传质单元高度,极大地强化传质效果。通过与散装填料对比,发现规整填料更利于强化萃取效果,其液泛速度平均增加25%。  相似文献

The present study deals with the pressure effects on the hydrodynamic flow and mass transfer within an agitated bubble reactor operated at pressures between 105 and 100 × 105 Pa. In order to clarify the flow behavior within the reactor, liquid phase residence time distributions (RTD) for different operating pressures and gas velocities ranging between 0.005 m/s and 0.03 m/s are determined experimentally by the tracer method for which a KCl solution is used as a tracer. The result of the analysis of the liquid‐phase RTD curves justifies the tank‐in‐series model flow for the operating pressure range. Good agreement is obtained between theoretical and experimental results assuming the reactor is operating as perfectly mixed. Two parameters characterizing the mass transfer are identified and investigated in respect to pressure: the gas‐liquid interfacial area and volumetric liquid‐side mass transfer coefficient. The chemical absorption method is used. For a given gas mass flow rate, the interfacial area as well as the volumetric liquid mass transfer coefficient decrease with increasing operating pressure. However, for a given pressure, a and kLa increase with increasing gas mass flow rates. The mass transfer coefficient kL is independent of pressure.  相似文献

通过研究系统中填料蒸发器的蒸发传质传热过程以及两相流动特性,采用计算流体力学(computational fluid dynamics,CFD)中离散相与连续相耦合的方法来模拟规整填料内部通道的蒸发传质传热过程,实现了填料蒸发器中两相传质传热的过程以及液滴流动的可视化,为研究气液两相在规整填料内的流动提供了一种模拟方法。通过与实验结果的比较,最终选用RNG k-ε湍流模型来分析规整填料内部气液两相传质传热以及流动情况。数值模拟研究了规整填料板间距对填料内部气液两相传质传热以及液滴运动影响,发现随着板间距的增大,填料内部压力降逐渐降低,出口空气中水蒸气的含量不断减小,液滴蒸发速率降低,液滴进出口质量差减小,气相出口温度逐渐降低,蒸发传质传热效率降低。随着气速的增大,出口空气中水蒸气的含量不断减小,液滴蒸发速率增加,气相出口温度降低,气液两相传质传热效率降低。  相似文献

A CFD model of the two‐phase countercurrent flow in the geometry of the plate‐type structured packing Mellapak 250.Y was built, tested and verified. The model was applied to determine the effect of liquid and gas flow rates and physicochemical properties of the flowing liquids on the interfacial area formed on structured packing. The CFD model allowed us to determine the minimum liquid flow rate at which an unbroken liquid film was observed on the packing surface. The simulations confirmed that with an increase of the wetting rate the surface of the packing covered with a liquid film increased until the surface was totally covered up, while further slight changes of an interfacial area were the result of wave formation. The effect of gas load (F factor) on the film surface was in the range of a calculation error. Results of the CFD simulation allow us to predict the stages of film formation during liquid flow, to follow local velocity oscillations, film thickness and velocity profiles of phases.  相似文献

Although the structured packing is a well established gas–liquid contacting device, the understanding of its function is insufficient and often leads to poor exploitation of the available phase separating potential. This is a consequence of a rather superficial approach to modelling the packing performance through the years resulting in a lack of information on the nature and extent of interaction between counter-currently flowing gas and liquid phases and the micro and macro geometry of a rather ordered structure with a pronounced flow discontinuity at the transition among packing elements. This paper addresses the relation between the fluid-dynamics imposed by packing geometry and the mass transfer efficiency, and introduces a performance prediction method which does not require packing specific constants to describe mass transfer coefficients of phases.  相似文献

采用Na2CO3-H2S为体系,利用规整丝网填料和新型塑料填料的错流旋转床为吸收设备,探究了两种填料床的传质性能,通过理论推导气液传质系数KyKya的表达式,考察了液量、气液比、超重力因子对脱硫率、KyKya的影响。实验结果表明:在相同条件下,规整丝网填料床的脱硫率略高于新型塑料填料床,约为3%~4%,但KyKya和压降分别是新型塑料填料床的0.25~0.5、0.8~0.9和0.3~0.5倍。通过文献对比分析,在相近工况条件下,新型塑料填料床的Kya比散装丝网填料床提高了1.45倍。并对实验数据进行回归,拟合出KyKya与气相雷诺数ReG、液相韦伯数WeL和伽利略数Ga之间的关联式。  相似文献

超重力旋转床是一种高效的强化传质和混合的新型设备。今提出了超重力旋转床中的水脱氧过程的传质模型,分别采用欧拉方法和拉格朗日方法对超重力旋转床中的气相和液滴的运动行为进行了数值模拟;在此基础上计算了液滴的传质系数,计算结果和实验结果符合较好,平均误差为7.9%。当超重力旋转床中液体存在的主体形式更接近于液滴时,模型计算结果误差减小。进一步讨论分析了液体和气体流量、转速以及填料内径的变化对于超重力旋转床体积传质系数的影响,分析表明旋转填料对液体剧烈地剪切破碎分散作用是强化传质过程的主要原因。  相似文献

Structured packing is a good candidate for CO2 capture process because of its higher mass transfer efficiency and lower pressure drop.Now,the challenging problem of CO2 capture and storage demands more and more efficiency equipment.The aim of the present study is to investigate the liquid film characteristics under counter current gas phase and throw some insight into the enhancing mechanism of mass transfer performance in structured packing.A high speed digital camera,non-intrusive measurement technique,was used.Water and air were working fluids.Experiments were carried out for different gas/liquid flow rates and different inclination angles.The time-average and instantaneous film widths for each set of flow parameters were calculated.It is shown that the effects of gas phase could be neglected for lower flow rate,and then,become more pronounced at higher flow rate.According to instantaneous film width,three different stages can be distinguished.One is the constant width of liquid film.The second is the slight decrease of film width and the smooth surface.This kind of character will lead to less interfacial area and deteriorate the packing mass transfer performance.For the third stage,the variation of film width shows clearly chaotic behavior.The prediction model was also developed in present work.The predicted and experimental results are in good agreement.  相似文献

The liquid film flow on different structured wires and chains is observed experimentally to assess the suitability of a structured packing consisting of vertical wires. The results show that liquid beads as they appear on cylindrical wires are inhibited by certain chain geometries. This increases the flooding gas load up to F = 12 Pa0.5. As the stabilized film shows no liquid bead motion, the liquid velocity at the interface is less which results in lower gas‐side mass‐transfer coefficients. An estimation of the packing characteristics for different chain geometries with an assumed wire packing density of 40,000 wires/m2 is made. The interfacial area, mass‐transfer coefficients, and consequently the separation efficiency strongly depend on the liquid load. However, the proposed gas‐side separation efficiencies are slightly lower compared to common structured packings but the advantages are higher load limits, a better liquid distribution, and lower pressure drop. © 2012 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 59: 295–302, 2013  相似文献

以空气-水为工质研究了立装规整填料的流体力学性能;利用CO2-空气-水体系研究其传质性能,并与相同试验条件下的平装规整填料进行对比。结果表明,在相同条件下,2者的压降没有明显变化,但立装填料比平装填料的壁流量和液相总传质单元高度分别降低了10.7%和17.4%,其流体力学和传质性能均优于平装填料。  相似文献

The Marangoni effect on the mass transfer coefficient of falling films was investigated on inclined stainless‐steel plates to elucidate the influence on the mass transfer performance of structured packing surfaces. Desorption of ethanol from water generated the Marangoni effect in the liquid phase while the process of oxygen desorption from water was proceeded. The enhanced liquid phase mass transfer by the Marangoni effect was found to be related to the ethanol concentration in the liquid, inclination of the plate, and liquid flow condition. A generalized correlation was proposed to predict the effective enhancement factor of the system incorporated with the Marangoni effect.  相似文献

Data are included for seven different catalyst supports, four of which have not appeared previously in the literature. Very low flow rates (liquid: 0.9–6.0 mm/s, gas; 1.5–31 mm/s) of interest in pilot-scale catalytic hydrogenation, were investigated. The results correlated well with liquid and gas flow rates for each packing.
