猪肉加工、流通过程中主要食源性病原细菌的监测   总被引:3,自引:1,他引:3  
猪肉安全是食品安全的一个重要组成部分,食源性病原细菌是猪肉安全的重点监测对象。选择猪肉加工、流通过程的主要环节,应用PCR技术对沙门氏菌、产单核细胞李斯特菌、空肠弯曲菌、结肠弯曲菌和大肠杆菌O157等主要食源性病原细菌进行跟踪监测。结果表明:在所监测的6个环节中,均存在不同程度的病原菌污染,其中取内脏环节污染率最高,达49%;在监测的病原菌中,结肠弯曲菌的污染率最高,平均污染率为8.4%。取内脏、冷藏和销售环节是猪肉发生病原菌交叉污染的关键点。  相似文献

Preharvest management factors are predicted to impact the prevalence of foodborne pathogens in cattle sent to slaughter. We simultaneously examined the prevalence and antibiotic resistance patterns of Campylobacter jejuni, Salmonella, and Escherichia coli O157:H7 isolated from cull dairy cattle at two livestock auctions in northeastern Ohio. Between April and September 2002, a total of 1,026 fecal samples were collected. C. jejuni was isolated from 48 of 686 (7%) fecal samples, Salmonella was isolated from 39 of 585 (6.7%) samples, and E. coli O157:H7 was isolated from 21 of 1,026 (2.1%) samples. Of the 585 samples tested for all three pathogens, at least one pathogen was identified in 86 of 585 (15%) samples. One sample was positive for both E. coli O157:H7 and C. jejuni, and five samples yielded both C. jejuni and Salmonella. Size of herd of origin could be traced for 75 to 85% of samples collected. Salmonella was isolated at higher frequencies from herds larger than 60 cattle than from smaller herds (9.0 versus 3.5%, P = 0.02). In contrast, size of herd of origin did not significantly affect the E. coli O157:H7 and C. jejuni prevalence. Approximately 90% of Salmonella and E. coli O157:H7 isolates were pansensitive to a panel of 16 antibiotics. Thirty-six percent of C. jejuni isolates were resistant to tetracycline. In this study, antibiotic resistance among the foodborne pathogens isolated from cull diary cattle was rare. Although size of dairy herd of origin was positively associated with Salmonella prevalence, herd size was not strongly associated with E. coli O157:H7 and C. jejuni prevalence in market dairy cattle. These results can be used to assess the food safety risks associated with the slaughter of cull dairy cattle.  相似文献

INFECTIVE DOSE OF FOODBORNE PATHOGENS IN VOLUNTEERS: A REVIEW   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Risk assessment and impact of foodborne pathogens on the health of different populations was one of the goals identified in the Presidential Food Safety Initiative three-year plan. This entailed estimation of dose-response relationship for foodborne pathogens to humans, either by feeding studies or from outbreaks. For certain pathogens, such as Listeria monocytogenes and Escherichia coli O157:H7, there are no feeding studies due to ethical reasons, and the results from outbreaks are normally used to estimate the infectious dose. The focus of this review is to compile dose-response information in volunteers for several foodborne pathogens including Salmonella, Shigella spp. , Campylobacter jejuni, Vibrio spp. , Escherichia coli, Cryptosporidium parvum and Entamoeba coli. The infectious dose for different serovars of Salmonella and strains of E. coli was quite large (> 105 organisms), while the infectious dose for some Shigella spp. seemed to be as low as less than 10 organisms. Toxigenic V. cholerae (O1 and O139 serotypes) were infective at a dose of 104 organisms; a non-O1 strain was infective at a much higher dose (106 organisms). C. jejuni, C. parvum and Entamoeba coli appeared to have infectious doses as low as 500 organisms, 10 oocysts, and 1 cyst, respectively. The infectious dose and the dose response are dependent upon the strains used, and the age and physical condition of the individuals, and can therefore show wide variations. In addition, since many of the volunteer studies are carried out by feeding the organisms in a nonfood matrix after neutralizing the stomach acidity, results obtained may not reflect the true dose response.  相似文献

Thermotolerant Campylobacter jejuni and C. coli are one of the major causes of bacterial foodborne enteric infection. Consuming and/or handling poultry meat is the most consistent risk factor, linked to the high prevalence of campylobacters in retail poultry meat. The aim of the present study was to ascertain the genetic diversity and/or possible specificity of thermotolerant Campylobacter isolates according to species (C. coli, C. jejuni), isolation source (retail chicken meat and human clinical samples) and geographic origin (Goriska in Slovenia and Zenica-Doboj Canton in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH)). With the pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) after SmaI macrorestriction we distinguished 80 PFGE types among 118 strains and CfoI restriction fragment length polymorphism of the amplified flagellin gene (fla-RFLP) gave 12 fla-RFLP types. Beside the higher discriminatory power and strain typeability, PFGE discriminated the C. jejuni and C. coli groups of isolates. A high proportion of C. coli strains was isolated, especially from poultry samples. Identical or very similar PFGE types among the isolates from animal, food and human samples indicate the transmission of C. jejuni and C. coli from the chickens on the farm to the retail chicken meat, as well as possible cross-contamination of retail meat and transmission to humans. However, the identity of the isolates from non-related samples but with identical PFGE and fla-RFLP types should be confirmed with additional typing. Reliable tracing of the source of Campylobacter strains by molecular typing of the chicken meat isolates is therefore very difficult. The reasons include contamination of meat samples with multiple strains, possible cross-contamination and extreme heterogeneity of the isolates (mainly for C. jejuni) on one side and a limited power of the genotyping methods used to distinguish non-related strains on the other side (mainly for C. coli).  相似文献

Campylobacter represents one of the leading causes of foodborne enteritis. Poultry and its products frequently transmit the pathogen. The objective of the present study was to model predictively the short-term inactivation of Campylobacter in a ready-to-eat poultry product to develop an economic high-pressure treatment. We inactivated baroresistant strains of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli, grown to stationary phase on nutrient agar and inoculated in poultry meat slurry, by heat and high hydrostatic pressure. Incubation at ambient pressure at 70 degrees C for 1 min and at 450 MPa at 15 degrees C for 30 s inactivated more than 6 log CFU of this foodborne pathogen per ml of poultry meat slurry. Thermal and pressure inactivation kinetics of C. coli and C. jejuni in poultry meat slurry were accurately described by a first-order kinetic model. A mathematical model was developed from 10 to 65 degrees C and from ambient to 500 MPa that predicts the reduction in numbers of Campylobacter in response to the combination of temperature, pressure, and treatment time. We suggest the high-pressure treatment of foods to avoid health risks caused by Campylobacter. The nonthermal short-term treatment of the examined food model system represents a successful step to an economic high-pressure procedure.  相似文献

We analyzed a total of 70 grilled chicken samples bought randomly from street vendors and retail outlets in the city of Reynosa, Mexico, to determine the prevalence of Escherichia coli (Shiga toxin producing and enterotoxin producing), Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria spp., and Campylobacter spp. using microbiological methods and PCR detection of bacterial sequences. Of the 70 samples, 27 (38.5%) were from retail outlets and 43 (61.4%) from street vendors. All specimens were negative by both microbiological and molecular methods for Listeria monocytogenes, Shiga toxin 2 of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli, lt of enterotoxin-producing E. coli, and st enterotoxin, and all were negative for Salmonella spp. and Campylobacter jejuni by PCR. Of the samples studied, 49 (70%) had undetectable levels of the foodborne pathogens studied with the methods used. In the remaining 21 (30%) specimens, at least one pathogen was isolated or detected, with E. coli being the pathogen most frequently isolated and with two samples bearing the hlyA gene. We found no statistical difference in bacterial prevalence between retail and street vendor samples. The presence of pathogens in grilled chicken is an important public health risk because of the great demand for and daily consumption of this product in this region.  相似文献

The growing interest in organic and natural foods warrants a greater need for information on the food safety of these products. In this study, samples were taken from 2 pasture flock farms (N = 178; feed, water, drag swabs, and insect traps), pasture flock retail carcasses (N = 48) and 1 pasture flock processing facility (N = 16) over a period of 8 mo. A total of 105 Campylobacter isolates were obtained from 53 (30%), 36 (75%), and 16 (100%) samples from the farms, retail carcasses, and processing facility, respectively. Of the 105 isolates collected, 65 were C. jejuni, 31 were C. coli, and 9 were other Campylobacter spp. Using PCR, the C. jejuni isolates were further analyzed for virulence genes involved in colonization and survival (flaA, flaC, cadF, dnaJ, racR, cbrR), invasion (virB11, ciaB, pldA), protection against harsh conditions (sodB, htrA, clpA), toxin production (cdtA, cdtB, cdtC), siderophore transport (ceuE), and ganglioside mimicry (wlaN). In addition, the short variable region of the flaA locus (flaA SVR) was sequenced to determine the genetic diversity of the C. jejuni isolates. The flaA SVR diversity indices increased along the farm to carcass continuum. PCR-based analysis indicated a low prevalence of 5 genes involved in colonization (dnaJ, ciaB, pldA, racR, virB11). The results of this survey indicate that the prevalence of Campylobacter on organic retail carcasses is similar to prevalence reports of Campylobacter on conventional retail carcasses. However, the genetic diversity of the flaA SVR genotypes increased along the farm to carcass continuum that contrasted with conventional poultry studies. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: Campylobacter jejuni is a leading cause of foodborne illness with poultry and poultry products being leading sources of infection. Free-range and pasture flock chickens are becoming more popular; however, there is an inherent biosecurity risk that can increase the prevalence of foodborne pathogens in these flocks. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and the conventional culture method of detecting thermophilic Campylobacter species in duck and chicken samples from two locations in the province of Laguna, Philippines, were compared. Three Campylobacter jejuni and five C. coli strains were isolated from a total of 135 duck and chicken samples from both methods. The PCR technique, however, was found to be more sensitive, accurate and rapid than the conventional culture method. The specificity of two sets of published primers, C442-C490 (specific for C. jejuni, C. coli and C. lari) and CL2-CR3 (specific for C. jejuni) were confirmed with reference and field strains. To improve detection, a lysate was prepared by boiling cells in Triton X-100, and then used as template for PCR to detect Campylobacter from spiked and naturally contaminated chicken rinse. For spiked chicken samples, a 17-h Meuller-Hinton Broth enrichment for the chicken rinse resulted in an improved sensitivity at 31.7 CFU/g using C442-C490. This enrichment-PCR tandem also detected thermophilic Campylobacter from 1 out of 21 native chicken samples from a wet market. To our knowledge, this is the first report of thermophilic Campylobacter isolation from poultry in the Philippines. The approaches described here could serve as a basis for future surveillance and/or epidemiological studies on this emerging foodborne pathogen.  相似文献

In this study procedures provoking sub-lethal injury for three different pathogens are described which may be used in determination of accuracy and robustness of methods, comparison studies and or validation of rapid detection methods. Three common food-borne pathogens were used, Listeria monocytogenes, Campylobacter jejuni and Escherichia coli O157. The pathogens were exposed to heat stress, cold stress, freeze stress, acid stress, oxidative stress and "food" stress. Sub-lethal injury was determined by plating in parallel on selective and non-selective media. The statistical significant differences in enumeration were established. The choice of stress to create sub-lethal injury to cells depended on the fact that the procedure must be easy to handle, repeatable and relevant for stress conditions in foods, but also on the micro-organism itself. Oxidative stress (1000 microM H(2)O(2)) was chosen to impose sub-lethal injury on L. monocytogenes and a specific "food" stress for E. coli O157. For C. jejuni a specific "food" stress as well as the oxidative stress (750 microM H(2)O(2)) were capable of creating a standardized procedure of provoking injury.  相似文献

当今食源性疾病已成为一个全球关注的食品卫生问题,常见的细菌性食物中毒的病原菌有:致病性大肠杆菌(特别是出血性大肠杆菌O157:H7)、沙门氏菌、志贺氏菌、致病性弧菌(包括霍乱弧菌和副溶血弧菌)、金黄色葡萄球菌、单增李斯特菌、空肠弯曲菌以及阪崎克罗诺杆菌等。单独检测一种致病菌已无法满足现今社会对同时高效检测多种致病菌的要求,为建立一种同时对上述9种食品中常见致病菌的检测方法,本研究分别以上述9种菌的特异性基因为靶基因,创新性地结合一对通用引物,建立能同时检测多种食源性致病菌的多重HRM-real time PCR检测体系。结果表明该多重HRM-real time PCR检测体系通过两管PCR反应可对上述9种食品中常见致病菌进行有效的检测与区分,且具有良好的特异性和灵敏度。  相似文献

Campylobacter infection is one of the most common bacterial enteric pathogens. Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli infections are mostly food- and waterborne and especially poultry is often assumed to be an important source. The heat-stable serotyping system (the 'Penner' scheme) was used to study the serotype distribution of C. jejuni and C. coli isolated from different food products of poultry origin sampled from retail outlets in Denmark. A total of 156 isolates were serotyped, 85% of these were C. jejuni and 15% were C. coli. The most common C. jejuni serotypes were O:2 (30%), O:1,44 (12%) and the O:4-complex (8%). O:46 was the most frequent serotype among C. coli isolates. These serotypes are also common among Danish clinical isolates and isolates from broiler chickens and cattle. Differences in serotype distribution were seen for different kinds of poultry products. Isolates from chicken products covered a large selection of serotypes. In contrast, the majority of the isolates from other product groups (turkey, poussin, wild birds) were concentrated on 1-3 serotypes. Using the standard procedure for antigen preparation and serotyping, 25 of the 156 strains (16%) were nontypable. This rate of nontypable isolates is significantly higher than experienced for isolates from other sources than food products, i.e faecal samples from animals and humans. Subculturing and re-typing of the nontypable isolates improved the typability. After two, five and 10 subcultures 16, six and one isolate became typable, respectively. Only three isolates (2%) remained nontypable after 10 subcultures.  相似文献

Campylobacter species are one of the most common causes of bacterial diarrhea in humans worldwide. The consumption of foods contaminated with two Campylobacter species, C. jejuni and C. coli, is usually associated with most of the infections in humans. In this study, a rapid, reliable, and sensitive multiplex real-time quantitative PCR was developed for the simultaneous detection, identification, and quantification of C. jejuni and C. coli. In addition, the developed method was applied to the 50 samples of raw chicken meat collected from retail stores in Korea. C. jejuni and C. coli were detected in 88 and 86% of the samples by real-time quantitative PCR and the conventional microbiological method, respectively. The specificity of the primer and probe sets was confirmed with 30 C. jejuni, 20 C. coli, and 35 strains of other microbial species. C. jejuni and C. coli could be detected with high specificity in less than 4 h, with a detection limit of 1 log CFU/ml by the developed real-time PCR. The average counts (log CFU per milliliter) of C. jejuni or C. coli obtained by the conventional methods and by the real-time PCR assay were statistically correlated with a correlation coefficient (R2) between 0.73 and 0.78. The real-time PCR assay developed in this study is useful for screening for the presence and simultaneous differential quantification of C. jejuni and C. coli.  相似文献

目的 了解上海市浦东新区特定病原体食源性疾病的流行趋势和特征,为制定食源性疾病防控策略提供参考。方法 采集2015—2018年于上海市浦东新区开展食源性疾病主动监测的数据,2家哨点医院采集以腹泻症状为主诉感染病例的粪便或肛拭子标本,进行副溶血性弧菌、沙门菌、志贺菌、致泻大肠埃希菌、空肠弯曲菌和诺如病毒检验,同时对患者进行相关信息采集、分析。结果 共监测和采集2 871例腹泻病例的粪便或肛拭子标本,病原体总体检出率为23.55%(676/2 871),其中,诺如病毒为20.04%(97/484)、致泻大肠埃希菌为11.84%(340/2 871)、空肠弯曲菌为7.21%(68/943)、副溶血性弧菌为4.01%(115/2 871)、沙门菌为3.27%(94/2 871)、志贺菌为0.28%(8/2 871);第三季度的病原体检出率较高,呈现较明显的夏秋季高峰;可疑食物主要是混合/多种食品(41.12%,278/676),其次为水产动物及其制品(22.19%,150/676)和肉与肉制品(10.95%,74/676)。结论 诺如病毒和致泻大肠埃希菌是上海市浦东新区腹泻病例的主要病原体,应进一步完善食源性疾病主动监测,对特定病原体阳性病例开展流行病学个案调查,为开展有效防控提供技术支持。  相似文献

目的 了解丽江市食品中食源性致病菌的污染状况, 为开展丽江市食品安全评估和确定高风险食品种类和分布提供科学依据。方法 2014~2016年采集丽江市售食品344份, 对沙门氏菌、单增李斯特菌、金黄色葡萄球菌、副溶血性弧菌、空肠弯曲菌、蜡样芽孢杆菌6种食源性致病菌进行监测分析。结果 344份食品样品检出食源性致病菌51株, 总检出率为14.82%。3年食源性致病菌检出率分别为21.00%、15.13%和9.60%, 不同年份检出率差异有统计学意义。检出的4种食源性致病菌, 其中以蜡样芽孢杆菌和金黄色葡萄球菌检出率最高, 分别为8.14%和3.49%; 空肠弯曲菌、副溶血性弧菌未检出。米米制品、学生餐(盒饭)和生肉类污染严重, 检出率分别为23.53%、18.18%和16.92%。结论 丽江市辖区市售食品中存在不同程度的食源性致病菌污染, 食品安全监管部门应加强食品安全监督管理。  相似文献

Campylobacter is today the most common cause of human bacterial enteritis in Sweden, as well as in most other industrialized countries. Common sources of infection are undercooked chicken meat, unpasteurized milk and contaminated drinking water. One aim with our present study was to identify the species Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli strains from humans and chickens using a polymerase chain reaction/restriction enzyme analysis (PCR/REA) method, as well as traditional hippurate hydrolysis test. Another aim was to investigate the antibiotic resistance pattern of the human domestic C. jejuni/C. coli isolates from infected patients and isolates from healthy Swedish chicken, as well as isolates from humans infected abroad. If discrimination between C. jejuni and C. coli was based on testing for hippurate hydrolysis, 95% of the human domestic strains and 88% of the chicken strains were identified as C. jejuni. Based on genotyping by PCR/REA, 100% of the human domestic strains and 98% of the chicken strains were attributed to C. jejuni. The E-test and disc diffusion methods were used for phenotypic antibiotic resistance studies. The two methods gave similar results. Most Swedish C. jejuni/C. coli isolates both from humans and chickens were sensitive to doxycycline and erythromycin, which are antibiotics used to treat human infection. Only 7% of the human domestic strains and 2% of the chicken strains were resistant to the quinolones tested. As a comparison, more than 94% of strains isolated from travelers to Asia and southern Europe showed antibiotic resistance to one or more drugs.  相似文献

Campylobacter spp. are the most common cause of bacterial enteritis in Hungary, and the aim of this study was to identify the distribution, genotypes, and antimicrobial susceptibility of Campylobacter species in the most important food-producing animals at the time of slaughter during 2008 and 2009. Of 1,110 samples, 266 were identified as Campylobacter coli (23.9%) and 143 as C. jejuni (12.9%) by real-time PCR. Resistance to enrofloxacin-ciprofloxacin and nalidixic acid was significant, especially in C. jejuni (73.3%) and C. coli (77.2%) from broilers. Higher erythromycin (P = 0.043) and tetracycline (P = 1.865e-14) resistance rates were found among C. coli isolates (9.7 and 74.1%, respectively) than among C. jejuni isolates (3.1 and 36.6%, respectively). A total of 47 fla short variable region sequences were identified among 73 selected C. coli and C. jejuni isolates, with 35 fla types detected only once. At the nucleotide level, fla types A66 and A21 were the most common. Using the pulsed-field gel electrophoresis method, 66% of strains exhibited unique profiles after Sma I digestion. Forty-two isolates assigned to 18 Sma I clusters were further typed by Kpn I, and of these, 24 were assigned to 10 Kpn I clusters. For isolates in five Kpn I clusters, epidemiological links were observed. Stable C. jejuni and C. coli clones were detected, indicating that further studies involving broiler and human isolates need to be conducted to elucidate the importance of these stable clones in human infections.  相似文献

Healthy cattle are considered as reservoirs for a variety of Campylobacter species. To control the bacterial contamination in meat products, quantitative assessment of campylobacters in liver and gallbladder was carried out at an abattoir. Liver and bile samples were collected from 108 healthy beef cattle after evisceration and viable counts of campylobacters were determined by a direct-plating technique using modified Cefoperazone Charcoal Deoxycholate agar (mCCDA). The suspected colonies on the highest dilution plates were subjected to biochemical tests and PCR for identification. Campylobacter species were isolated from 49 (45%) bile and 6 (5%) liver specimens examined. Numbers of campylobacters in bile and liver ranged from log(10)3 to 7 (median 5) and log(10) 1 to 2 (median 1) cfu per ml and per g, respectively. These Campylobacter species were identified as C. fetus, C. jejuni, and C. coli. Multiple infections involving two species were observed in 16 cattle. C. fetus and C. jejuni were the predominant species in bile. Growth of C. fetus, C. jejuni, and C. coli in spiked bile samples revealed an initial exponential growth phase followed by a period with no apparent increase in colony count for 28 days. It appeared that these campylobacters can survive in bile for a long period. To determine transfer route of bacterial cells to the gallbladder, C. jejuni, C. fetus, or C. coli was inoculated intravenously in mice. The inoculated cells were recovered from bile, suggesting that the organism was transferred from the blood stream to bile duct in the liver. From these results, bile in cattle is considered to be an important contamination source of Campylobacter species in processing plants.  相似文献

To be effective in reducing the incidence of foodborne illness, consumers and food safety educators need information about behaviors that will decrease exposure to foodborne pathogens. A four-round Delphi technique was used to survey nationally recognized experts in food microbiology, epidemiology, food safety education, and food safety policy with the aim of identifying and ranking food-handling and consumption behaviors associated with 13 major foodborne pathogens. The food safety experts ranked behaviors related to keeping foods at safe temperatures as of primary importance in preventing illness caused by Bacillus cereus and Clostridium perfringens and of secondary importance in preventing illness caused by Staphylococcus aureus. The use of a thermometer to cook foods adequately was ranked as of primary importance for the prevention of illness caused by Campylobacter jejuni, Salmonella species, Escherichia coli O157:H7, Toxoplasma gondii, and Yersinia enterocolitica, with the avoidance of cross-contamination being ranked as of secondary importance for most of these pathogens. Hand washing was the top-ranked behavior for the prevention of shigellosis. The avoidance of certain foods that are likely to be contaminated was the top-ranked behavior for the prevention of illnesses caused by Listeria monocytogenes, Noroviruses, and Vibrio species. The expert panel's ranking of behaviors for the reduction of the risk of illness caused by major foodborne pathogens can enable consumers to make informed choices about food consumption and handling behaviors and can guide food safety educators in prioritizing their educational efforts.  相似文献

目的了解食品中主要食源性致病菌的污染状况,确定高危食品,为预防和控制食源性疾病提供科学依据。方法按照《全国食源性致病菌监测工作手册》的检测技术要求,2006-2009年在江苏省的13个监测点采集食品样品3865份,对沙门菌、单核细胞增生李斯特菌、副溶血性弧菌、金黄色葡萄球菌、弯曲菌和大肠埃希菌O157:H7的污染情况进行监测。结果 3865份样品中,共检出致病菌490株,总检出率为12.68%。生肉、生奶、水产品、速冻米面、熟肉制品、蛋糕以及蔬菜沙拉样品的致病菌检出率分别为27.93%(242/814)、18.87%(10/53)、17.49%(89/509)、16.18%(56/346)、9.24%(56/606)、4.79%(7/146)和0.98%(5/509);2006-2009年食源性致病菌检出率分别为16.92%、14.05%、15.32%、7.06%;13个监测点中,泰州、南京、扬州、徐州食源性致病菌检出率较高。结论生肉、生奶和水产品是江苏食品的主要污染品种,作为直接入口食品的熟肉、生食水产品和蛋糕,可能导致较高的食源性疾病风险。  相似文献

A survey of the occurrence of Campylobacter, Salmonella, Listeria and Shiga toxin-producing E. coli was performed on 60 flocks of free-range chicken from 34 farms in the Basque Country (Northern Spain). Campylobacter was the most prevalent of the four pathogens, isolated in 70.6% of the farms, followed by L. monocytogenes (26.5%), and Salmonella (2.9%). No E. coli O157 or other STEC were isolated. In total 48 flocks from 26 farms were positive for at least one pathogen: 31 of them for a single pathogen (64.6%), and 17 for more than one species (35.4%). C. coli was more prevalent than C. jejuni (15 vs. 13 farms), and both species of Campylobacter were found in 3 farms. L. monocytogenes isolates were identified as serotype 4b complex, and the only Salmonella isolated was serovar Enteritidis. flaA PCR-RFLP performed on 91 Campylobacter isolates (36 C. jejuni and 55 C. coli) yielded 26 patterns, with higher diversity among the C. jejuni isolates. More than one pattern was found in 11 farms, and in 8 of them several patterns were found within the same flock. The findings of the present study suggest that the free-range rearing conditions described herein might have an advantageous effect on diminishing Salmonella but not on Campylobacter or L. monocytogenes flock contamination.  相似文献
