实验设计并组建了一套磁光极克尔磁滞回线测量装置,该装置可以通过改变照射到样品上的激光功率来改变薄膜样品上被聚焦光斑照射的测试点的温度。同时通过计算模拟了激光照射在TbFeCo磁光薄膜上的温度分布情况,得到了薄膜的矫顽力随照射激光功率的变化关系,由此可以确定薄膜的居里温度和补偿温度。为研究磁光薄膜样品在各种温度条件下,磁光性能的变化以及多层磁光薄膜的磁耦合效应提供了有效的手段。  相似文献

Growth from liquid phase epitaxy and magnetooptical properties of single crystal garnet films in (Pr Gd Yb)3-xBix(Fe Al)5O12 system are reported. The dependences of the distribution coefficient and the Bi content of the films on the growth temperature are analyzed. The influence of the growth condition on the magnetic and magneto-optical properties of the materials are described and discussed in order to obtain in planemagnetization films having large Faraday rotation (> 1 800 degr./cm) and figure of merit (50 – 80 degr./dB) suitable for integrated magnetooptics application.  相似文献

The magnetic properties of mixed-spin S = 3/2 and S = 1/2 ferrimagnetic system have been studied by Monte Carlo simulations. The ground-state phase diagrams of mixed spin-3/2 and spin-1/2 Ising system are given. The critical and compensation temperatures have been found with different values of reduced exchange interactions. The variation of total magnetization with reduced exchange interactions of mixed spins is given with different temperatures and crystal fields. We have also given the variation of total magnetization with crystal field for different reduced exchange interactions and different temperatures. The magnetic hysteresis cycle is found to have different values of reduced exchange interactions, temperatures, and crystal fields. The multiple hysteresis and the superparamagnetic phase are established.  相似文献

In this paper the results of a study of the structural and magnetic properties of La0.66Sr0.33MnO3 (LSMO) polycrystalline films grown on glass substrate using Sol-Gel technique are presented. The samples were structurally characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) techniques. The average grain size range of 30 nm has been obtained from XRD investigations of granular LSMO samples. Zero Field Cooling (ZFC) and Field Cooling (FC) magnetization measurements have been performed and magnetic hysteresis loops of LSMO were recorded at various temperatures. The temperature dependences of the magnetization of LSMO films recorded in ZFC and FC regimes exhibited considerable difference between the curves. The blocking and the ferromagnetic phase transition temperatures of about 262?K and 300?K, respectively, were observed from magnetization measurements.  相似文献

We have investigated the magneto-optical properties of highly ordered Co-Pt alloy nanowire arrays embedded in anodic aluminum oxide templates. The magnetic field-dependent Stokes parameters, Faraday rotation angle and ellipticity were investigated by an in-house magneto-optical measurement system. The extracted hysteresis loops are broadly consistent with magnetic hysteresis loops obtained from the vibrating sample magnetometer. The maximum Faraday rotation angle and ellipticity of these samples were examined as a function of nanowire composition. With an increase of platinum content from 9 at.% to 86 at.% in the as-deposited nanowire arrays, the maximum Faraday rotation angle per length decreases linearly from 1.39 x 10(3) degrees/cm to 1.58 x 10(2) degrees/cm. The maximum ellipticity shows a similar behavior with the composition. These linear relationships suggest a dilution model for the magnetic moment in the alloy nanowires. Our results indicate that magneto-optical measurements comprise an effective and sensitive method for monitoring the behavior of AAO-based magnetic nanowire arrays.  相似文献

采用Sol-Gel方法,通过快速热处理,在Pt/Ti/SiO2/Si衬底上制备出Pb (Zr, Ti) O3成分梯度薄膜。用俄歇微探针能谱仪 (AES) 对制备的上梯度薄膜进行了成分深度分析,证实其成分梯度的存在。XRD分析表明,制备的梯度薄膜为四方结构和三方结构的复合结构,但其晶面存在一定的结构畸变。介电温谱测试表明,随着温度的升高,梯度薄膜出现一个铁电-铁电相变点和两个居里点,同时出现一定的频率弥散现象。不同偏压下电滞回线的测试表明,梯度薄膜表现出良好的铁电性质。热释电性能测试表明,梯度薄膜的热释电系数随着温度的升高逐渐增加,并且其热释电系数比每个单元的热释电系数大。   相似文献

Amorphous Gd-Fe alloy films prepared by RF cosputtering technique   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Amorphous GdxFe1-x(0 < x < 0.35) thin films were prepared by RF cosputtering using an iron target covered partially with small gadolinium pieces. The composition dependences of saturation magnetization, hysteresis curves, and domain structures were studied. Spark-like domains were observed when the magnetization was reversed from saturation. The uniaxial anisotropy was induced perpendicular to the film plane. The average value of the perpendicular uniaxial anisotropy constant Ku was about 2 × 105erg/cm3. Ku, however, decreases as the saturation moment decreases in the vicinity of room temperature compensation. The stripe domain width was varied from 0.3 to 4 microns as the saturation moment decreased from 300 to 20 gauss. These magnetic properties of amorphous Gd-Fe sputtered films are similar to those of amorphous Gd-Co films.  相似文献

采用射频磁控溅射方法制备了TbFeCo非晶磁光薄膜,并在TbFeCo中引入轻稀土元素Ce,测试了薄膜的磁光性能。研究了薄膜成分对其磁光性能的影响。结果表明;在TbFeCo薄膜中掺入少量Ce时,薄膜的磁光克尔角及矫顽力都有所提高,矩形度也增加了。但随Ce掺入量的增加,薄膜的磁光性能发生恶化,较好的掺杂在10.31?左右。  相似文献

采用射频磁控溅射法在玻璃基片上制备了TbFeCo/Ag非晶垂直磁化膜,研究了Ag底层厚度对TbFeCo薄膜磁性能的影响。原子力显微镜、振动样品磁强计与磁光盘测试仪测量结果表明:薄的银底层具有较高的表面粗糙度可以显著增大TbFeCo薄膜的矫顽力,改善TbFeCo薄膜的磁光温度特性,该薄膜有望用作高密度垂直记录介质与光磁混合记录介质。  相似文献

We report the optical and magnetic properties of Sm doped wide-band-gap Gallium nitride (GaN) prepared by ion implantation. The photoluminescence (PL) intensity obviously increased as the increasing of annealing temperature from 700 to 1,100 °C. Magnetic hysteresis was observed at room temperature. Our study was focusing on the influence of magnetic field on optical property of Sm3+ doped GaN. It was discovered that the PL intensity of Sm3+ increases remarkably under an external magnetic field. The mechanism of the magnetic ordering-modulated PL peak intensity of Sm3+ doped GaN films was discussed. This may open up a suite of potential applications in producing magneto-optical devices.  相似文献

In the present study, 57FePt films are prepared with reactive ion beam sputtering using mixture of argon and nitrogen gases. Energy-dispersive X-ray reflectivity is used to estimate the thickness of the as-deposited films. Structural and magnetic properties of the as-deposited and annealed films are studied using grazing incidence X-ray diffraction (GIXRD), magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) and conversion electron Mossbauer spectroscopy (CEMS). Significant difference in structural and magnetic properties i.e., formation of ordered L10 phase and perpendicular magnetic anisotropy are observed for the films prepared with mixture of nitrogen and argon as compared to the film prepared with argon only. From the GIXRD, peaks corresponding to the ordered face-centred tetragonal FePt phase are observed for the films prepared with mixture gas. The results of CEMS clearly show the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) for the films prepared with mixture of nitrogen and argon. The observed enhanced chemical ordering and the development of PMA in the films prepared with mixture gas is due to the role played by the defects created as a consequence of nitrogen escape in the films with high temperature annealing.  相似文献

FePt thin films with 40 nm thickness were prepared on thermally oxidized Si (001) substrates by dc magnetron sputtering at the nominal growth temperature 375 °C. The effects of annealing on microstructure and magnetic properties of FePt thin films were investigated. The as-deposited FePt thin films show soft magnetic properties. After the as-deposited FePt thin films were annealed at various temperatures and furnace cooled, it is found that the ordering temperature of L10 FePt phase could be reduced to 350 °C. For FePt thin films annealed at 350 °C, the in-plane and out-of-plane coercivities of the films increased to 510 and 543 kA/m, respectively, and the films had hard magnetic properties. A highly (001) orientation was obtained, when FePt thin films were annealed at 600 °C. And the hysteresis loops of FePt thin films annealed at 600 °C show out-of-plane magnetic anisotropy.  相似文献

Morphological and magnetic properties of Mn x Ge1–x films have been investigated by scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and magneto-optical Kerr effect (MOKE) measurements, respectively. Several Mn x Ge1–x alloys were grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) on Ge(1 0 0) substrates, varying the growth temperature and alloy composition (x). STM analysis demonstrated island morphology with islands having a mean dimension ranging from about 100 to 130 nm, depending on the substrate temperature and Mn content in the film. Growth conditions also influence the island distribution. MOKE analysis, carried out on all the Mn x Ge1–x alloys, showed only a negligible hysteresis effect in the investigated temperature range from about 12 to 300 K. At low temperatures (below 70–110 K, depending on the sample), the MOKE signal tends to saturate at a magnetic field intensity less than about 0.5 T, indicating a superparamagnetic behavior. On the contrary, above that temperature the films do not show a magnetic character. The features of the MOKE curves depend on the growth parameters.  相似文献

The effect of layer thicknesses on the magnetic properties and mechanism of magnetization reversal in exchange-coupled NiFe/CoP film structures has been studied. The process of magnetization reversal was studied by analysis of the magnetic-induction and magneto-optical hysteresis loops. It is established that, as the thicknesses of layers in the NiFe/CoP film structure are increased, the system exhibits a transition from homogeneous magnetization reversal in the structure to exchange spring formation in the soft magnetic layer.  相似文献

Barium strontium titanate (BST) thin films were prepared by RF magnetron sputtering. The curves of dielectric constant–voltage, dissipation factor–voltage and the hysteresis loops of BST thin films with different grain sizes were investigated. The differences of the curves were analyzed. The voltage shift and an increase in the maximum dielectric constant were observed in ɛV curves as the grain size in the films increased. It is found that the dielectric loss of BST thin films does not change significantly with applied voltage. The origin of the asymmetric hysteresis due to asymmetrical potential barriers at the upper and bottom interfaces, residual elastic stress and incomplete compensation of depolarizing field was discussed.  相似文献

Stokes parameters fully characterize the polarization state of light in an experimentally accessible manner. Photoelastic modulator (PEM) based Stokes polarimetry offers a very high sensitivity which is particularly suitable for the investigation of the magneto-optical properties of nanostructured magnetic materials. In this paper, we shall describe a robust methodology recently developed by us that utilizes a dual PEM setup. As an example of its application, we report on the magneto-optical characteristics of focused Ga ion beam patterned Fe films. We have investigated Ga ion irradiation of single-layer polycrystalline Fe films deposited on Si3N4 substrates, which allows us to study the effects of ion implantation with minimum added complications. Complemented by structural and other characterization techniques, the absolute measurement of magneto-optical effects through the determination of Stokes parameters has enabled us to effectively separate the various contributions from film thinning due to sputtering, structural modifications and compositional changes caused by Ga incorporation. A comparison is also made between the magneto-optical behavior of patterned thin films and that of anodic aluminum oxide embedded magnetic nanowire arrays.  相似文献

A model for thermomagnetic writing in Gd-Co sputtered films at its compensation temperature is described. In the vicinity of the compensation temperature, the films have rectangular hysteresis loops with large values of coercive force. Spots are thermomagnetically written and erased by using a He-Ne laser in conjunction with an external magnetic field, and a diameter approximately of1.5 sim 2 mum is achieved. Photographs of spots written thermomagnetically are shown. The written domains are circular and clear in shape, and are stable. Temperature dependences of coercive force in Gd-Co sputtered films, and characters of spot diameter as a function of applied magnetic field and writing laser power are reported.  相似文献

Exchange anisotropy, an interface phenomena in layered magnetic films that produces a hysteresis loop centered at a finite field, has been observed in multilayered films of GdCo/sub 2/ and Co. It is found that the effective bias field diverges at the compensation temperature of the film. The data reported were for films with single-layer thicknesses of 35 AA. Multilayered films are deposited at room temperature and are, therefore, highly disordered or amorphous. To induce exchange anisotropy in these films, they were heated rapidly (<1 min) to 500 degrees C, well above the ordering temperature of the GdCo/sub 2/, and allowed to cool quickly (<3 min to 200 degrees C). The resulting hysteresis loop is shown. Even in the absence of an applied field, this annealing induces exchange anisotropy, presumably due to the presence of a stray magnetic field.<>  相似文献

The magnetic and structural properties of granular Er-Ta films have been studied with SQUID magnetometry and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The films have been fabricated by co-sputtering using DC magnetron sputtering. The particle size of granular films was found to be affected by both the composition and annealing temperature. Electron diffraction patterns showed that the as-sputtered Er-Ta films have an amorphous structure. After annealing at different temperatures, the amorphous phase transforms first into an intermediate fcc structure and finally into an Er hcp phase and Ta phase, in which granular particles are clearly observed by TEM. The intermediate fcc structure shows only one magnetic transition whereas the hcp Er granular solids show a superparamagnetic and a modulated magnetic phase transitions. The modulated phase is not as obvious as in hcp Er films and this may be due to finite size effects.  相似文献
