The multi-agent programming contest uses a cow-herding scenario where two teams of cooperative agents compete for resources against each other. We developed such a team of agents using two well-known platforms, one based on a logic-based agent-oriented programming language, called Jason, and the other based on an organisational model, called $\mathcal{M}$ oise. While there is significant research on both agent programming and agent organisations, this was one of the first applications of a combined approach where we can program deliberative agents and organise them using a sophisticated organisational model. In this paper, we describe and discuss our contribution to the multi-agent contest using this combination of agent and organisation programming.  相似文献

The theory of hybrid systems is well-established as a model for real-world systems consisting of continuous behaviour and discrete control. In practice, the behaviour of such systems is also subject to uncertainties, such as measurement errors, or is controlled by randomised algorithms. These aspects can be modelled and analysed using stochastic hybrid systems. In this paper, we present HModest, an extension to the Modest modelling language—which is originally designed for stochastic timed systems without complex continuous aspects—that adds differential equations and inclusions as an expressive way to describe the continuous system evolution. Modest is a high-level language inspired by classical process algebras, thus compositional modelling is an integral feature. We define the syntax and semantics of HModest and show that it is a conservative extension of Modest that retains the compositional modelling approach. To allow the analysis of HModest models, we report on the implementation of a connection to recently developed tools for the safety verification of stochastic hybrid systems, and illustrate the language and the tool support with a set of small, but instructive case studies.  相似文献

We propose an effective procedure, the first one to our knowledge, for translating a proof term of the Calculus of Inductive Constructions (CIC), into a tactical expression of the high-level specification language of a CIC-based proof assistant like coq (Coq development team 2008) or matita (Asperti et al., J Autom Reason 39:109–139, 2007). This procedure, which should not be considered definitive at its present stage, is intended for translating the logical representation of a proof coming from any source, i.e. from a digital library or from another proof development system, into an equivalent proof presented in the proof assistant’s editable high-level format. To testify to effectiveness of our procedure, we report on its implementation in matita and on the translation of a significant set of proofs (Guidi, ACM Trans Comput Log 2009) from their logical representation as coq 7.3.1 (Coq development team 2002) CIC proof terms to their high-level representation as tactical expressions of matita’s user interface language.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a thorough integration of qualitative representations and reasoning for positional information for domestic service robotics domains into our high-level robot control. In domestic settings for service robots like in the RoboCup@Home competitions, complex tasks such as “get the cup from the kitchen and bring it to the living room” or “find me this and that object in the apartment” have to be accomplished. At these competitions the robots may only be instructed by natural language. As humans use qualitative concepts such as “near” or “far”, the robot needs to cope with them, too. For our domestic robot, we use the robot programming and plan language Readylog, our variant of Golog. In previous work we extended the action language Golog, which was developed for the high-level control of agents and robots, with fuzzy set-based qualitative concepts. We now extend our framework to positional fuzzy fluents with an associated positional context called frames. With that and our underlying reasoning mechanism we can transform qualitative positional information from one context to another to account for changes in context such as the point of view or the scale. We demonstrate how qualitative positional fluents based on a fuzzy set semantics can be deployed in domestic domains and showcase how reasoning with these qualitative notions can seamlessly be applied to a fetch-and-carry task in a RoboCup@Home scenario.  相似文献

We propose a formal approach for the definition and analysis of domain-specific modelling languages (dsml). The approach uses standard model-driven engineering artifacts for defining a language’s syntax (using metamodels) and its operational semantics (using model transformations). We give formal meanings to these artifacts by translating them to the Maude language: metamodels and models are mapped to equational specifications, and model transformations are mapped to rewrite rules between such specifications, which are also expressible in Maude due to Maude’s reflective capabilities. These mappings provide us, on the one hand, with abstract definitions of the mde concepts used for defining dsml, which naturally capture their intended meanings; and, on the other hand, with equivalent executable definitions, which can be directly used by Maude for formal verification. We also study a notion of operational semantics-preserving model transformations, which are model transformations between two dsml that ensure that each execution of a transformed instance is matched by an execution of the original instance. We propose a semi-decision procedure, implemented in Maude, for checking the semantics-preserving property. We also show how the procedure can be adapted for tracing finite executions of the transformed instance back to matching executions of the original one. The approach is illustrated on xspem, a language for describing the execution of activities constrained by time, precedence, and resource availability.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a comprehensive overview of the property-based monitoring framework for analog and mixed-signal systems. Our monitoring approach is centered around the Signal Temporal Logic (Stl) specification language, and is implemented in a stand-alone monitoring tool (Amt). We apply this property-based methodology to two industrial case studies and briefly present some recent extensions of Stl that were motivated by practical needs of analog designers.  相似文献

S-Net is a declarative coordination language and component technology aimed at radically facilitating software engineering for modern parallel compute systems by near-complete separation of concerns between application (component) engineering and concurrency orchestration. S-Net builds on the concept of stream processing to structure networks of communicating asynchronous components implemented in a conventional (sequential) language. In this paper we present the design, implementation and evaluation of a new and innovative runtime system for S-Net streaming networks. The Front runtime system outperforms the existing implementations of S-Net by orders of magnitude for stress-test benchmarks, significantly reduces runtimes of fully-fledged parallel applications with compute-intensive components and achieves good scalability on our 48-core test system.  相似文献

In this paper we present Caesar, an intelligent domestic service robot. In domestic settings for service robots complex tasks have to be accomplished. Those tasks benefit from deliberation, from robust action execution and from flexible methods for human?Crobot interaction that account for qualitative notions used in natural language as well as human fallibility. Our robot Caesar deploys AI techniques on several levels of its system architecture. On the low-level side, system modules for localization or navigation make, for instance, use of path-planning methods, heuristic search, and Bayesian filters. For face recognition and human?Cmachine interaction, random trees and well-known methods from natural language processing are deployed. For deliberation, we use the robot programming and plan language Readylog, which was developed for the high-level control of agents and robots; it allows combining programming the behaviour using planning to find a course of action. Readylog is a variant of the robot programming language Golog. We extended Readylog to be able to cope with qualitative notions of space frequently used by humans, such as ??near?? and ??far??. This facilitates human?Crobot interaction by bridging the gap between human natural language and the numerical values needed by the robot. Further, we use Readylog to increase the flexible interpretation of human commands with decision-theoretic planning. We give an overview of the different methods deployed in Caesar and show the applicability of a system equipped with these AI techniques in domestic service robotics.  相似文献

A DIN Kernel LISP Draft (DKLisp) has been developed by DIN as Reaction to Action D1 (N79), short term goal, of ISO WG16. It defines a subset language, as compatible as possible with the ANSICommon-Lisp draft, but also with theEuLisp draft. It combines the most important LISP main stream features in a single, compact, but nevertheless complete language definition, which thereby could be well suited as basis for a short term InternationalLisp Standard. Besides the functional and knowledge processing features, the expressive power of the language is well comparable with contemporary procedural languages, as e.g. C++ (of course without libraries). Important features ofDKLisp are:
  • to be a “Lisp-1,” but allowing an easy “Lisp-2” transformation;
  • to be a simple, powerful and standardized educationalLisp;
  • to omit all features, which are unclean or in heavy discussion;
  • DKLisp programs run nearly unchanged inCommon-Lisp;
  • DKLisp contains a simple object and package system;
  • DKLisp contains those data classes and control structures also common to most modernLisp and non-Lisp languages;
  • DKLisp offers a simple stream I/O;
  • DKLisp contains a clean unified hierarchical class/type system;
  • DKLisp contains the typical “Lisp-features” in an orthogonal way;
  • DKLisp allows and encourages really small but powerful implementations;
  • DKLisp comes in levels, so allowing ANSICommon-Lisp to be an extension ofDKLisp level-1.

    Modern WWW methodologies focus on developing context-aware data delivery applications on the Web, but very few proposals provide a conceptual modeling of their adaptation specifications. In this paper, we present AML—Adaptation Modeling Language—to specify complex Adaptive Web Applications at the conceptual level. AML models the adaptation process by using a special workflow involving modeling primitives that execute elementary manipulations. The adaptation considers different and orthogonal components of the context and operates over the selection of the most suitable contents, the organization of the hypertext structure of the response, and the layout of the final pages. The language and its design process are fully implemented in a CASE tool, called FAWIS. Specifically, FAWIS is able to access a Web data source and automatically filter and adapt information delivery on the basis of the context of the client. The tool is able to manage heterogeneous contexts, is easy extensible to new coordinates of adaptation, and can integrate different adaptation requirements solving possible conflicts between them. It allows the designer to define the response that better satisfies the requirements of adaptation for a context.  相似文献

    The uml Profile for Modeling and Analysis of Real-Time and Embedded (RTE) systems has recently been adopted by the OMG. Its Time Model extends the informal and simplistic Simple Time package proposed by Unified Modeling Language (UML2) and offers a broad range of capabilities required to model RTE systems including discrete/dense and chronometric/logical time. The Marte specification introduces a Time Structure inspired from several time models of the concurrency theory and proposes a new clock constraint specification language (ccsl) to specify, within the context of the uml, logical and chronometric time constraints. A semantic model in ccsl is attached to a (uml) model to give its timed causality semantics. In that sense, ccsl is comparable to the Ptolemy environment, in which directors give the semantics to models according to predefined models of computation and communication. This paper focuses on one historical model of computation of Ptolemy [Synchronous Data Flow (SDF)] and shows how to build SDF graphs by combining uml models and ccsl.  相似文献

    The Mizar Mathematical Library is one of the largest libraries of formalized and mechanically verified mathematics. Its language is highly optimized for authoring by humans. As in natural languages, the meaning of an expression is influenced by its (mathematical) context in a way that is natural to humans, but harder to specify for machine manipulation. Thus its custom file format can make the access to the library difficult. Indeed, the Mizar system itself is currently the only system that can fully operate on the Mizar library. This paper presents a translation of the Mizar library into the OMDoc format (Open Mathematical Documents), an XML-based representation format for mathematical knowledge. OMDoc is geared towards machine support and interoperability by making formula structure and context dependencies explicit. Thus, the Mizar library becomes accessible for a wide range of OMDoc-based tools for formal mathematics and knowledge management. We exemplify interoperability by indexing the translated library in the MathWebSearch engine, which provides an “applicable theorem search” service (almost) out of the box.  相似文献

    Code and design smells are recurring design problems in software systems that must be identified to avoid their possible negative consequences on development and maintenance. Consequently, several smell detection approaches and tools have been proposed in the literature. However, so far, they allow the detection of predefined smells but the detection of new smells or smells adapted to the context of the analysed systems is possible only by implementing new detection algorithms manually. Moreover, previous approaches do not explain the transition from specifications of smells to their detection. Finally, the validation of the existing approaches and tools has been limited on few proprietary systems and on a reduced number of smells. In this paper, we introduce an approach to automate the generation of detection algorithms from specifications written using a domain-specific language. This language is defined from a thorough domain analysis. It allows the specification of smells using high-level domain-related abstractions. It allows the adaptation of the specifications of smells to the context of the analysed systems. We specify 10 smells, generate automatically their detection algorithms using templates, and validate the algorithms in terms of precision and recall on Xerces v2.7.0 and GanttProject v1.10.2, two open-source object-oriented systems. We also compare the detection results with those of a previous approach, iPlasma.  相似文献

    Due to significant advances in SAT technology in the last years, its use for solving constraint satisfaction problems has been gaining wide acceptance. Solvers for satisfiability modulo theories (SMT) generalize SAT solving by adding the ability to handle arithmetic and other theories. Although there are results pointing out the adequacy of SMT solvers for solving CSPs, there are no available tools to extensively explore such adequacy. For this reason, in this paper we introduce a tool for translating FLATZINC (MINIZINC intermediate code) instances of CSPs to the standard SMT-LIB language. We provide extensive performance comparisons between state-of-the-art SMT solvers and most of the available FLATZINC solvers on standard FLATZINC problems. The obtained results suggest that state-of-the-art SMT solvers can be effectively used to solve CSPs.  相似文献

    Despite a large body of work on XPath query processing in relational environment, systematic study of queries containing not-predicates have received little attention in the literature. Particularly, several xml supports of industrial-strength commercial rdbms fail to efficiently evaluate such queries. In this paper, we present an efficient and novel strategy to evaluate not -twig queries in a tree-unaware relational environment. not -twig queries are XPath queries with ancestor–descendant and parent–child axis and contain one or more not-predicates. We propose a novel Dewey-based encoding scheme called Andes (ANcestor Dewey-based Encoding Scheme), which enables us to efficiently filter out elements satisfying a not-predicate by comparing their ancestor group identifiers. In this approach, a set of elements under the same common ancestor at a specific level in the xml tree is assigned same ancestor group identifier. Based on this scheme, we propose a novel sql translation algorithm for not-twig query evaluation. Experiments carried out confirm that our proposed approach built on top of an off-the-shelf commercial rdbms significantly outperforms state-of-the-art relational and native approaches. We also explore the query plans selected by a commercial relational optimizer to evaluate our translated queries in different input cardinality. Such exploration further validates the performance benefits of Andes.  相似文献

    Service Oriented Computing is a paradigm for developing software systems as the composition of a number of services. Services are loosely coupled entities, that can be dynamically published, discovered and invoked over a network. The engineering of such systems presents novel challenges, mostly due to the dynamicity and distributed nature of service-based applications. In this paper, we focus on the modelling of service orchestrations. We discuss the relationship between two languages developed under the Sensoria project: SRML as a high level modelling language for Service Oriented Architectures, and StPowla as a process-oriented orchestration approach that separates core business processes from system variability at the end-user’s level, where the focus is towards achieving business goals. A fundamental challenge of software engineering is to correctly align business goals with IT strategy, and as such we present an encoding of StPowla to SRML. This provides a formal framework for StPowla and also a separated view of policies representing system variability that is not present in SRML.  相似文献

    Reasoning about the termination of equational programs in sophisticated equational languages such as Elan, Maude, OBJ, CafeOBJ, Haskell, and so on, requires support for advanced features such as evaluation strategies, rewriting modulo, use of extra variables in conditions, partiality, and expressive type systems (possibly including polymorphism and higher-order). However, many of those features are, at best, only partially supported by current term rewriting termination tools (for instance mu-term, C i ME, AProVE, TTT, Termptation, etc.) while they may be essential to ensure termination. We present a sequence of theory transformations that can be used to bridge the gap between expressive membership equational programs and such termination tools, and prove the correctness of such transformations. We also discuss a prototype tool performing the transformations on Maude equational programs and sending the resulting transformed theories to some of the aforementioned standard termination tools.  相似文献

    The adoption of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) in safety-related applications is often avoided because it is difficult to rule out possible misbehaviors with traditional analytical or probabilistic techniques. In this paper we present NeVer, our tool for checking safety of ANNs. NeVer encodes the problem of verifying safety of ANNs into the problem of satisfying corresponding Boolean combinations of linear arithmetic constraints. We describe the main verification algorithm and the structure of NeVer. We present also empirical results confirming the effectiveness of NeVer on realistic case studies.  相似文献
