Empirical Study on Standardization Curricula in Chinese Universities

This paper summarizes partial findings on education about standardization by CNIS in 2008.As of December 31,2008,21 universities and colleges in China had established a standardization curriculum.This paper deals with standardization education related to economic management,engineering,agriculture and science of law and summarizes respondents'opinions on teaching performances and design of teaching materials and curriculums.     

Research on the Evaluation System of National Standardization

Standardization receives varied attention in different countries. Based on the Chinese national standardization status, this paper sets an evaluation system of national standardization on the principles of logic, comprehensiveness and operability, taking into account national standards and standardization activities. The evaluation system evaluates the national standardization development level through four aspects: standard development,standards implementation, standardization supporting measures, and participation in international standardization. This evaluation system provides a reasonable basis to evaluate the national standardization development level. The survey shows that if China wants to enhance its standardization development level, China needs to improve its standard development level, strengthen implication and application of standards, expand the standardization support measures and continuously improve the level of participation in international standardization.     

Development of Engineering Management Education in China

Engineering management(EM) is a new interdisciplinary field accompanying China's economic and social development. To have a systemic research of the present situation and future orientation on China's EM education, this paper compares the connotation of engineering and engineering management based on the gap of their differences at home and abroad, with gained causes between them. Then, this paper analyzes the training system of 35 authenticated universities with the program of engineering management, which had received the certification from the Engineering Management Assessment Committee for Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China by 2014. With a web survey of the present condition of engineering management education at these universities,the paper discusses the disciplinary attribution of engineering management. Through the above research, this paper concludes with three suggestions for the long-term development of engineering management education in China.     

A Brief Introduction to Standardization Education at the School of Business Administration,Zhongnan University of Economics and Law

This article briefly introduces the history,current situation and characteristics of standardization management education in the School of Business and Administration (SBA),Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL).ZUEL's different levels of standardization education are discussed in detail,including undergraduate students,graduate students,and continuing education training for working professionals.Also ZUEL'steaching style,research foundation,and relative experiences in standardization education are introduced.ZUEL's capacity and characteristics are comprehensively shown and expected further developments in standardization education at ZUEL are provided.     

义务教育服务标准化体系建设研究

作为国家长期优先发展战略之一,教育事业始终受到国家的高度关注.作为优化质量、提高效能的有效技术手段,标准化对于提升教育质量、促进教育服务均衡,提升学校管理效益有着重要的促进作用.本文以义务教育学校为主体,建立了义务教育服务标准化范畴模型,并在分析我国义务教育服务标准化现状的基础上,构建了以服务通用基础标准体系为基础、服务保障标准体系为支撑、服务提供标准体系为核心的义务教育服务标准化体系框架,基于各子体系现有国家标准和行业要求的分析,结合义务教育学校实际对各子体系的标准建设重点提出了建议,以期为义务教育服务标准化体系建设提供技术参考.     

ISO 9001质量管理体系在高校教学质量管理中的实践与思考——以中国计量学院经管学院实施ISO 9001体系为例

本文结合中国计量学院教学质量管理体系建立和实施的实践,阐述了ISO 9001质量管理体系在高校教学实践中的可行性、体系建立的程序和内容,并根据体系运行的实际就标准与创新的关系、体系的客观作用,以及体系中质量目标设定等重大问题做出了深刻的分析。     

中国高水平高校材料学科专业课程英语化教学必要性探析

"培养具有国际视野的高素质创新人才"和创建国际一流大学已经成为国内一些高水平高校的办学宗旨之一。本文对目前国内一流高校专业英语应用能力培养的必要性进行了分析。针对目前国内高校英语教学主要以通用英语为特征的基本教学模式所存在的问题,结合浙江大学创建国际一流高校、一流学科对本科学生提出的在学期间具有100%的境外访学率以及在学期间对本科生全面展开的研究训练计划(SRTP)培养所伴随的参加国际学术会议、从事与阅读专业外语资料直接相关的学术研究、毕业后具有高出国深造率等基本要求,探讨了专业课程全英文教学的必要性及重要性,并探讨了其对促使所培养的国内学生更好地走出去和让世界各地的学子方便地走进来,以及对推动浙大材料学科更好地向世界一流水准迈进所产生的积极作用。     

国际自动机工程师学会标准化治理模式研究及其对我国团体标准化工作的启示

培育发展团体标准是我国标准化工作改革的重要举措,在国家政策和市场创新需求的双重驱动下,近两年我国团体标准迎来高速发展,但由于起步较晚,我国社团组织在标准化治理方面仍存在不足。社团标准在美国发展成熟,国际自动机工程师学会经过100多年发展,在团体标准制度及机制建设、运营模式方面积累了丰富的经验,本文通过研究其标准化工作治理模式,旨在为我国社团组织开展团体标准化工作提供借鉴。     

标准化教育培训现状与需求分析

本文通过访谈、问卷调查和招聘信息收集,从标准化人员和企业两个角度,分析标准化教育培训现状与需求,以及企业对标准化人员可雇佣能力要求,进而分析影响制约标准化教育培训质量的主要因素,并从健全标准化教育培训评估体系和准入机制、完善标准化教育培训体系、加强标准学科建设以及建立标准化教育实习示范基地等方面提出对策与建议。     

Highly cited research papers and the evaluation of a research university: A case study: Peking University 1974–2003

The academic level and scientific reputation is the most important merit of a research university. Publication of the scientific achievement in the world leading scientific journals is the key to asses a university's overall performance. Peking University is a leading university among the Chinese research universities, and the number of papers published in Science Citation Index (SCI) indexed journals has been on the top of the national list. In this paper, based on our long-term experience and practice in scientific management, we use scientometrics and informetrics method to analyze the academic performance of the researchers, departments and schools of Peking University, mainly using the citations of publications. Highly cited papers are specially important to the reputation of our university. We compare those data with some selected world well-known universities, hence, some important information can be deduced for the policy decision of the university. The results presented here is not only an academic survey, but also a guideline for the future strategic development of Peking University. This revised version was published online in June 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

Learning our lessons: the future of education and training inBritain

Britain has no acceptable future other than as a successful manufacturing nation; its position within the European Community of nations does not alter that fact. The extent of its success will be determined by the quality of the workforce, and that will depend upon education and training. The author reviews how the social and educational history of Britain has divided the nation and led to the present poor performance of its industries. The state of education and vocational training is contrasted with that in Germany, the key economic competitor. Proposals are made for the progressive improvement in position, based upon a coherent approach to schools, higher education and the provision of vocational training. The role that the Institution of Electrical Engineers can play in this most critical national task is identified     

5G时代动态可变式校标设计及延展应用

目的探讨5G时代中国高校如何通过具有高识别度和多元变化的校标设计及延展应用,提升中国高校的国际品牌形象,助力中国高校的国际化进程。方法通过比较研究中国137所“双一流”高校与QS世界大学排名前100强高校的校标,以图像分析和统计学的方法揭示中国高校校标设计高度雷同化、辨识度低的现状,指出常见的圆形范式校标在国际竞争和品牌传播中所存在的局限性;借鉴西方品牌形象设计的成功案例,寻找5G时代中国高校校标设计的创新理念、设计方向以及具体的延展应用方法。结论强调独特性、高识别性的校标设计在高校品牌传播中的重要性,并创造性地提出了“动态可变式”校标设计及延展应用在5G时代必将成为高校品牌形象传播的主流趋势和重要手段。     

培养标准化意识 加强标准化教育

本文通过网络实证调查专科、本科、研究生、继续教育、职业资格等几方面,了解我国标准化教育的现状,并介绍了社会对标准化人才的要求。从标准信息资源建设、师资队伍建设和人才培养等三方面分析标准化教育中存在的主要问题,提出应培养标准化意识,加强标准化教育,以适应社会发展的需要。

China’s Engineering Education: Situation & Outlook

Since China's drive in 1978 to implement national reforms and open it up to the outside world,its higher education sectorhas made rapid progressin the field of engineering and has been able to achieverapid expansion of scale,Positive change in educational structure,more education investment, improved teaching quality, Educational reform and international cooperation. While praising the achievements,we need toacknowledgethat there are also some problems in China's engineering education, asimbalancebetweensupplyanddemand,homogeneity of goals and patterns, Lack of practice,curriculum system not aligned with the characteristics of engineering,insufficient importance attached to innovation and entrepreneurial education, Poor competence mix.In light of China's process of modernization and the Outline, we forecast that:competition between universities will intensify and the supply-demand imbalance will be alleviated, differentiation depends on the reform of engineer system and administrative university classification,quality of engineering education will be improved with a complete quality assurance system,industrial transformation will be conducive to joint talent development by universities and businesses,instructors will be the mainstay of educational reform,quality of students should be improved in many different ways. As China's modernization accelerates, the quality of its engineering education is getting better and better. We expect to work closely with foreign colleagues to improve the quality to turn out engineering talents meeting the demand of national development.     

Educational and training activities in personal dosimetry in Greece

An individual monitoring programme is one of the main components of any radiation protection programme since it constitutes the mean for assessing and thus optimising the doses of occupationally exposed workers. The Greek Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC) is the competent authority for radiation protection and nuclear safety in Greece. GAEC's educational and training activities in the field of occupational radiation protection at the national and regional (Eastern Europe) level are presented, along with the relevant activities of the University of Ioannina in the region of North-West Greece, as an example of a local education and training programme. The curricula of two postgraduate courses addressed to qualified experts and medical physics experts and mainly the modules dedicated to individual monitoring are discussed as well.     

我国国家标准化战略与企业标准化战略关系--以高新技术企业为例

本文以高新技术企业标准化为突破口,从国家宏观角度和企业微观层面进行深入分析,研究我国企业制定自身标准化战略与国家总体标准化战略存在的关系。企业标准化战略是企业获得利润的有效途径,也是谋求发展的重要基础,从国家范围看,企业标准化活动是国家总体标准化活动中最关键的基础与核心部分。因此,孤立、局部或微观的考虑企业标准化是远远不够的,必须要把企业标准化战略放到国家层面上考虑。

重视跨国公司在中国标准化中的作用

跨国公司参与中国标准化促进了国内标准发展的速度,增加了中国标准化过程的透明度和国际化程度,同时也可能抑制本土技术创新、形成市场垄断和政策挟持效应。需要正确地引导和管理标准化的国际合作,将我国的国情、优势和跨国公司的优势进行有机的结合,跨国公司参与中国标准化的界限,构建开放条件下政府标准化管理模式,提升国际标准合作与竞争能力。
