Multi-wavelength fiber ring laser based on the semiconductor optical amplifier(SOA)with sampled fiber Bragg grating(SFBG)in a Sagnac loop interferometer as the wavelength-selective filter is proposed.Four lasing wavelengths with 1.8 nm spacing have been generated stably at room temperature.The proposed laser has the advan-tages such as removal of the high-cost circulator,flexibility in channel-spacing tuning,and simple all-optical fiber configuration,which has potential applications in high-capacity wavelength-division-multiplexed(WDM)systems and mechanical sensors.  相似文献

A tunable dual-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser (EDFL) is proposed and demonstrated. By applying axial and lateral strain simultaneously on the fiber Bragg grating (FBG), the absolute wavelength and wavelength spacing of the EDFL can be tuned continuously. The FBG used included not only the FBG fabricated in standard single-mode fiber, but also the FBG in polarization-maintaining fiber. The experiment results are similar.  相似文献

金属环封装低频光纤布拉格光栅振动传感系统研制   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:0  
研制了一种金属环封装的单柱体芯轴式光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)振动传感器,搭建了基于非平衡迈克耳逊干涉仪相位载波调制(PGC)解调技术的FBG振动传感器解调系统,实现了低频振动信号的高精度实时解调,并分析了各参数对传感器谐振频率和灵敏度等特性的影响。实验结果表明,研制的FBG振动传感器谐振频率为388Hz,在10~200Hz频率范围内,传感器的加速度灵敏度约为81pm/g,且加速度响应平坦,起伏小于1dB,与理论分析结果基本一致。研制的振动传感器可实现200Hz以下低频振动信号的实时检测,解调系统的波长检测精度为1.07×10-3 pm,最小可检测加速度为1.3×10-5 g。  相似文献

We introduce a novel simple comb filter, which is based on a Sagnac interferometer with a fiber Bragg grating asymmetrically located in its fiber loop. The filter has advantages of simple design and easy fabrication, low insertion loss and low cost. Two filters with triple bandpasses and dual bandpasses, respectively, were fabricated and applied to an erbium-doped fiber ring laser. An obvious improvement on both the gain and noise figure (NF) is demonstrated in the new double-pass L-band erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) with incorporating a fiber Bragg grating (FBG). Compared with the conventional L-band EDFAs, the gain is improved by about 6 dB in the new configuration for a 1580-nm signal with an input power of -30 dBm at 60 mW of 980-nm pump power. It is important that the NF is greatly reduced in the new configuration, as the FBG greatly compresses the backward amplified spontaneous emission. For the economical utility of pump power and erbium-doped fiber length, such a configuration may be a very competitive candidate in the practical applications of L-band EDFAs.  相似文献

提出超声以矩形脉冲波的形式轴向导入光纤光栅,分析超声脉冲作用于光纤光栅的机理;在此基础上,设计超声脉冲发生电路以及超声换能器,用高电压脉冲驱动堆栈式压电陶瓷产生沿光纤轴向的压缩脉冲,并通过符合声阻抗匹配的铝锥结构将脉冲幅值放大,高效地耦合进光纤光栅;采用CCD成像法高速采集光纤光栅在时域上的动态反射光谱,分析其时域上的光谱变化规律。结果表明:超声脉冲波长远大于光纤光栅长度时,超声脉冲导入的光纤光栅可有效搬移光谱,在脉冲作用时刻中心波长发生漂移。为超声脉冲与波分复用解调技术相结合提供参考。  相似文献

Temperature-insensitive fiber Bragg grating (FBG) dynamic pressure sensing based on reflection spectrum bandwidth modulation and differential optical power detection is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. A special double-hole cantilever beam is designed to induce linear strain-gradient distribution along the sensing FBG, resulting in FBG reflection spectrum symmetrical broadening and optical power increase.Based on the theory of optical waveguide and material mechanics, the causation of FBG spectrum broadening under the linear strain-gradient is analyzed, and the corresponding force-to-bandwidth broadening relation and force-to-optical power relation are formulized. FBG spectrum bandwidth and reflection optical power linearly change with applied pressure and both of them are insensitive to spatially uniform temperature variations.For a temperature range from -10℃ to 80℃, the measured pressure fluctuates less than 1.8% F.S.(120 kPa) without any temperature compensation. The system acquisition time is up to about 80 Hz for dynamic pressure measurement.  相似文献

A gain-clamping technique for the long wavelength band (L-band) erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) is presented. It uses a single fiber Bragg grating (FBG) on the input side of erbium-doped fiber (EDF) to inject a portion of backward conventional band (C-band) amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) back into the system. The use of a narrow-band (NB) FBG has shown a better performance in clamped-gain level and noise figure compared to a broad-band FBG. The amplifier gain for the NB FBG set up is clamped at 15.4 dB with a variation of less than 0.3 dB for an input power as high as 0 dBm  相似文献

研究了一种基于掺Er超荧光光源(EDSFS)的滤波解调方法,分析了光源的输出功率谱形状。利用光谱中光功率密度与波长的线性关系,实现了光纤光栅传感信号的动态解调。建立振动测试系统,采用高精度差分变压器式位移传感器作为参考,对比讨论了两种传感器输出的时域波形和频谱。结果表明,在相同的条件下,二者的动态响应特性具有很好的一致性。由于系统的光源和解调部分合为一体,无机械调谐元件,很适合高速动态测量。  相似文献

提出并实验验证了一种新型的基于啁啾光纤光栅的全光纤的可切换的五波长掺铒光纤激光器,该激光器采用简洁的线性腔结构,使用一段高掺铒的光纤作为增益介质,利用一个内含宽带啁啾光纤光栅的萨格纳克环作为激光器的谐振腔腔镜,担当了一个梳状滤波器的作用,另一个腔镜由一个宽带光纤反射镜担当,适当调整环中的偏振控制器,可以获得最多五波长的激光输出,并具有4种不同的激光输出模式,所有激发线均具有大于32 dB的光学信噪比,小于0.6 nm的线宽以及小于8 dB的峰值功率差异。  相似文献

为了实现光纤光栅动态解调的目的,采用了一种基于长周期光栅(LPFG)边缘滤波特性解调光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)的动态应变检测系统.将FBG作为传感元件,利用长周期光栅边缘滤波特性对光强调制,经光电转换获得电压信号,通过高速数据采集卡与LabVIEW软件设计结合由计算机采集.进行了振动实验,采集信号的时域波形图并进行频谱分析.试验结果表明该系统具有良好的动态响应特性,可实现2.5 kHz以内的动态应变监测.  相似文献

提出了利用啁啾光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)和马赫增德尔调制器产生三角形光脉冲的优化方案.方案采用FBG模拟单模光纤的色散特性,结合光载波抑制调制产生了三角形光脉冲, 并通过仿真分析,选择FBG的长度、调制深度、适当的折射率切趾函数对三角形光脉冲的线性特征进行了优化.仿真结果表明,在同一啁啾系数下,产生的三角形光脉冲的失真程度随啁啾光纤光栅的调制深度增大而增大,光栅长度、折射率切趾函数对三角形光脉冲的影响也比较明显.与现有系统相比,由于将FBG引入系统,省去长距离的光纤,优化方案系统结构更为简单,三角形光脉冲线性特征更好.  相似文献

报道一种基于保偏光纤的萨格纳克环与级联的光纤布拉格光栅的双波长掺铒光纤激光器,该激光器采用简单的线性腔结构,所用的萨格纳克环担当了梳状滤波器,光栅组构成了波长选择器件;在偏振烧孔的作用下,通过调整偏振控制器,激光器能够输出5种不同的激发模式,其中,双波长2种,单波长3种;所有的激发线具有小于0.3nm线宽,大于24dB的光学信噪比;同时,该激光器展示了较好的波长与峰值功率稳定性.  相似文献
