This paper investigates the fault‐tolerant control (FTC) problem for a class of hybrid nonlinear impulsive systems. Two kinds of faults are considered: continuous faults that affect each mode and discrete faults that affect the impulsive switching. The FTC strategy is based on the trade‐off between the frequency of switching and the decreasing rate of Lyapunov functions along the solution of the system, which maintains the stability of overall hybrid impulsive systems in spite of these two kinds of faults. A switched reluctance motor example is taken to illustrate the applicability of the proposed method. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, a robust actuator‐fault‐tolerant control (FTC) system is proposed for thrust‐vectoring aircraft (TVA) control. To this end, a TVA model with actuator fault dynamics, disturbances, and uncertain aerodynamic parameters is described, and a local fault detection and identification (FDI) mechanism is proposed to locate and identify faults, which utilizes an adaptive sliding‐mode observer (SMO) to detect actuator faults and two SMOs to identify and estimate their parameters. Finally, a fault‐tolerant controller is designed to compensate for these actuator faults, disturbances, and uncertain aerodynamic parameters; the approach combines back‐stepping control with fault parameters and a high‐order SMO. Furthermore, the stability of the entire control system is validated, and simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and potential for this robust FTC system.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of fault‐tolerant control (FTC) for a class of nonlinear uncertain systems against actuator faults using adaptive logic‐based switching control method. The uncertainties under consideration are assumed to be dominated by a bounding system which is linear in growth in the unmeasurable states but can be a continuous function of the system output, with unknown growth rates. Several types of common actuator faults, e.g., bias, loss‐of‐effectiveness, stuck and hard‐over faults are integrated by a unified fault model. By utilizing a novel adaptive logic‐based switching control scheme, the actuator faults can be detected and automatically accommodated by switching from the stuck actuator to the healthy or even partly losing‐effectiveness one with bias, in the presence of large parametric uncertainty. In particular, two switching logics for updating the gain in the output feedback controllers are designed to ensure the global stability of the nominal (fault‐free) system and the boundedness of all closed‐loop signals of the faulty system, respectively. Two simulation examples of an aircraft wing model and a single‐link flexible‐joint robot are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed FTC controller. In this work, by incorporating a tan‐type barrier Lyapunov function into the Lyapunov function design, we present a novel adaptive fault‐tolerant control (FTC) scheme for a class of output‐constrained multi‐input single‐output nonlinear systems with actuator failures under the perturbation of both parametric and nonparametric system uncertainties. We show that under the proposed adaptive FTC scheme, exponential convergence of the output tracking error into a small set around zero is guaranteed, while the constraint requirement on the system output will not be violated during operation. In the end, two illustrative examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed FTC scheme. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper focuses on the problem of adaptive output feedback fault tolerant control for a nonlinear hydro‐turbine governing system. A dynamic mathematical model of the system is established, which aims to investigate the dynamic performance of the model under servomotor delay and actuator faults. Then, a fault estimation adaptive observer is proposed to achieve online real‐time diagnosis of system faults. Based on the online fault estimation information, an observer‐based adaptive output feedback fault tolerant controller is designed. Furthermore, under reasonable assumptions, the results demonstrate that the closed‐loop control system can achieve global asymptotic stability by Lyapunov function. Finally, the numerical simulation results are presented to indicate the satisfaction control effectiveness of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

This paper studies the fault‐tolerant control (FTC) problem for nonlinear systems, with guaranteed cost or H performance objective in the presence of actuator faults. The faulty mode is built as a multi‐model framework of the typical aberration in actuator effectiveness. The novelty of this paper is that the effect of the nonlinear terms is described as an index in order to transform the FTC design problem into a semi‐definite programming. The proposed optimization approach is to find zero optimum for this index. Combined with other performance indexes, the conceived multi‐objective optimization problem is solved by using sum of squares method in a reliable and efficient manner. Numerical examples are included to verify the applicability of this new approach for the nonlinear FTC synthesis. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of fault‐tolerant control allocation for input affine nonlinear systems. The proposed scheme is divided in three main tasks: fault detection and estimation using a nonlinear observer, fault isolation through a bank of unknown input observers with a resetting policy to reduce the effects of nonlinearities and control reconfiguration based on reduced order allocation. Analytical results regarding the isolability and reconfigurability of actuator faults are derived and a simulation example is used to illustrate the the proposed fault tolerant control methodology.  相似文献

This paper proposes an integrated fault estimation and fault‐tolerant control (FTC) design for Lipschitz non‐linear systems subject to uncertainty, disturbance, and actuator/sensor faults. A non‐linear unknown input observer without rank requirement is developed to estimate the system state and fault simultaneously, and based on these estimates an adaptive sliding mode FTC system is constructed. The observer and controller gains are obtained together via H optimization with a single‐step linear matrix inequality (LMI) formulation so as to achieve overall optimal FTC system design. A single‐link manipulator example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This article investigates the active fault‐tolerant consensus problem for Lipschitz nonlinear multiagent systems under detailed balanced directed graph and actuator faults. First, a fault detection filter for each agent is designed, and all agents can be divided into two categories: healthy agents and possibly faulty agents. Second, fully distributed adaptive fault‐tolerant consensus protocols for healthy and possibly faulty agents are proposed to achieve state consensus. Third, based on the fault detection method and fault‐tolerant consensus protocols, active fault‐tolerant consensus algorithms are given. Simulation examples are presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed active fault‐tolerant algorithms.  相似文献

In this paper, a class of fractional‐order nonlinear systems are considered in the presence of actuator faults. A novel fault tolerant control scheme based on disturbance observer has been presented, where the actuator faults are considered as the system disturbance and can be approximated by the proposed disturbance observer. The developed fault tolerant control guarantees the convergence of the closed‐loop system and the output tracking performance. Finally, a simulation example is presented to verify the effectiveness of the new method.  相似文献

In this brief, we extend the existing results on fault tolerant control via virtual actuator approach to a class of systems with Lipschitz nonlinearities to maintain the closed‐loop stability after actuator faults. This generalization is established by relying on the input‐to‐state stability properties of cascaded systems. The virtual actuator block, placed between faulty plant and nominal controller, generates useful input signals for faulty plant by using output signals of the nominal controller to guarantee the closed‐loop stability in the presence of actuator faults. This design problem is reduced to a matrix inequality that can be turned to an LMI by fixing a variable to a constant value and solving the resulting LMI feasibility problem. The proposed fault tolerant control method is successfully evaluated using a nonlinear system. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This article studies the problem of data‐driven (DD) fault detection (FD) for linear systems. First, based on the DD realization of kernel representation, new residual generators are designed via a q‐step residual iteration method. Then, it is proved that the proposed residual generators guarantee the stability and L1 performance of the FD error systems, and the presented residual design method is more sensitive to faults than the existing ones constructed directly from available process data. Finally, two simulation examples are provided to verify the effectiveness and advantages of the designed method.  相似文献

This paper presents an integrated robust fault estimation and fault‐tolerant control technique for stochastic systems subjected to Brownian parameter perturbations. The augmented system approach, unknown input observer method, and optimization technique are integrated to achieve robust simultaneous estimates of the system states and the means of faults concerned. Meanwhile, a robust fault‐tolerant control strategy is developed by using actuator and sensor signal compensation techniques. Stochastic linear time‐invariant systems, stochastic systems with Lipschitz nonlinear constraint, and stochastic systems with quadratic inner‐bounded nonlinear constraint are respectively investigated, and the corresponding fault‐tolerant control algorithms are addressed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed fault‐tolerant control techniques is demonstrated via the drivetrain system of a 4.8 MW benchmark wind turbine, a 3‐tank system, and a numerical nonlinear model.  相似文献

This paper presents a distributed integrated fault diagnosis and accommodation scheme for leader‐following formation control of a class of nonlinear uncertain second‐order multi‐agent systems. The fault model under consideration includes both process and actuator faults, which may evolve abruptly or incipiently. The time‐varying leader communicates with a small subset of follower agents, and each follower agent communicates to its directly connected neighbors through a bidirectional network with possibly asymmetric weights. A local fault diagnosis and accommodation component are designed for each agent in the distributed system, which consists of a fault detection and isolation module and a reconfigurable controller module comprised of a baseline controller and two adaptive fault‐tolerant controllers, activated after fault detection and after fault isolation, respectively. By using appropriately the designed Lyapunov functions, the closed‐loop stability and asymptotic convergence properties of the leader‐follower formation are rigorously established under different modes of the fault‐tolerant control system.  相似文献

This paper addresses the passivity‐based control problem for a class of time‐varying delay systems subject to nonlinear actuator faults and randomly occurring uncertainties via fault‐tolerant controller. More precisely, the uncertainties are described in terms of stochastic variables, which satisfies Bernoulli distribution, and the existence of actuator faults are assumed not only linear but also nonlinear, which is a more general one. The main objective of this paper is to design a state feedback‐reliable controller such that the resulting closed‐loop time‐delay system is stochastically stable under a prescribed mixed and passivity performance level γ>0 in the presence of all admissible uncertainties and actuator faults. Based on Lyapunov stability method and some integral inequality techniques, a new set of sufficient conditions is obtained in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) constraints to ensure the asymptotic stability of the considered system. Moreover, the control design parameters can be computed by solving a set of LMI constraints. Finally, two examples including a quarter‐car model are provided to show the efficiency and usefulness of the proposed control scheme. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This study presents a sensor cascading fault estimation and fault‐tolerant control (FTC) for a nonlinear Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy model of hypersonic flight vehicles. Sensor cascading faults indicate the occurrence of source fault will cause another fault and the interval between them is really short, which makes it difficult to handle them in succession. A novel multidimensional generalized observer is used to estimate faults by integrating constant offset and time‐varying gain faults. Then, a fault‐tolerant controller is used to solve system nonlinearity and sensor fault problems. The observer and controller satisfy the performance index and are robust to external disturbances. A sufficient condition for the existence of observer and controller is derived on the basis of Lyapunov theory. Simulation results indicate the effectiveness of the proposed fault estimation and FTC scheme.  相似文献

The article proposes several fault‐tolerant control (FTC) laws for singularly perturbed systems (SPS) with actuator faults and disturbances. One of the main challenges in this context is that the fast‐slow decomposition is not available for actuator faults and disturbances. In view of this, some conditions for the asymptotic stability of the closed‐loop dynamics are investigated by amending the composite Lyapunov approach. On top of this, a closed‐form expression of the upper bound of singular perturbation parameter (SPP) is provided. Moreover, we design several SPP‐independent composite FTC laws, which can be applied when this parameter is unknown. Finally, the chattering phenomenon is eliminated by using the continuous approximation technique. We also emphasize that, for linear SPSs, the FTC design can be formulated as a set of linear matrix inequalities, while the SPP upper bound can be obtained by solving a convex optimization problem. Two numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the sliding mode control of uncertain nonlinear systems against actuator faults and external disturbances based on delta operator approach. The nonlinearity, actuator fault, and external disturbance are considered in this study, and the bounds of Euclidean norms of the nonlinearity and the specific lower and upper bounds of the actuator faults and the disturbances are unknown knowledge. Our attention is mainly focused on designing a sliding mode fault‐tolerant controller to compensate the effects from the nonlinearity, unknown actuator fault, and external disturbance. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, a novel‐adaptive fault‐tolerant sliding mode control law is deigned such that the resulting closed loop delta operator system is finite‐time convergence and the actuator faults can be tolerated, simultaneously. Finally, simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control design scheme. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
