You are cordially invited to participate in the 2009 Energy Conversion Congress and Expo (ECCE 2009) scheduled for 20-24 September 2009 at the DoubleTree Hotel in sunny San Jose, California. ECCE 2009 combines two of the most successful international conference programs-the IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference (PESC) and the technical programs of the Industrial Power Conversion Systems Department (IPCSD) (made up of the Electric Machines, Industrial Drives, Industrial Power Converter, and Power Electronics Devices Committees) at the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Annual Meeting-into one significant conference and exposition with a focus on energy conversion, efficiency, and sustainability. In addition to combining all relevant power electronics, devices, machines, and drives activities from the two conferences, this event will bring engineers, students, and academics together to enhance cooperation, start interdisciplinary dialogue, and encourage the exchange of ideas between these various constituents.  相似文献

Many of us have grown familiar with the format of the Industry Applications Society (IAS) Annual Meeting: tutorials on Sunday, nearly 400 technical paper presentations on Monday through Thursday, the awards luncheon on Tuesday, and the president's banquet on Wednesday. It is a format that has worked well for us for more than 30 years. However, the 2009 IAS Annual Meeting will be much different. One change is that tutorials will be moved to Wednesdays and Thursdays. Another change is that four of the largest technical committees will not be presenting papers at the 2009 IAS Annual Meeting. The ElectricMachines, Industrial Drives, Industrial Power Converter, and the Power Electronic Devices and Components Committees will be presenting their papers at the first-ever Energy Conversion Conference and Exposition (ECCE) 2009.  相似文献

The Power Systems Reliability Subcommittee of the IEEE Industry Applications Society has been conducting surveys of the reliability of electrical equipment in industrial plants and commercial buildings. Switchgear bus was included in a previous survey published in 1973 and 1974 [1] and generated some controversy concerning bare and insulated bus. For this reason, and also for an ongoing effect to continually update the 1973 and 1974 survey [1], switchgear bus reliability has been investigated in a new survey in 1977, and the results are presented. Reference is made to a paper [2] given at the 1977 Industrial and Commercial Power Systems Technical Conference on reasons for conducting the new survey.  相似文献

Fast tripping and consequent single-pole auto-reclosure of the faulted phase for single-phase earth faults is extensively used in long line applications. Traditional phase selection techniques can suffer some drawbacks due to their dependency on varying system and fault conditions. However, with the advent of fuzzy-logic techniques, and their ability to map complex and non-linear power system configurations provide a very attractive solution to accurate and fast phase selection procedure. This paper presents a new approach to real-time phase selection in power transmission systems using fuzzy-logic-based multi-criteria approach. Only the three line currents are utilised to detect the faulted phase. An online wavelet-based pre-processor stage [IEEE Trans. Power Delivery, 18 (4) (2003) 1158; IEEE Trans. Power delivery 17(4) (2002) 908; IEEE Trans. Power Delivery, 18 (1) (2003) 170; Paper # 01TD069, IEEE T&D Conference, 28 October–2 November 2001, Atlanta, GA] is used with 10 samples data window (based on 4.5 kHz sampling rate and 50 Hz power frequency). The paper demonstrates the multi-criteria algorithm that is based on fuzzy sets for the decision making part of the scheme. Computer simulation have been conducted using EMTP programs. Results proved that the correct detection is achieved in less than half a cycle and that computational burden is simpler than the recently postulated phase selection techniques, and this approach can be used as an effective tool for high speed digital relaying.  相似文献

电力系统稳定器(power system stabilizer,PSS)是目前已经被证实的最经济、最有效的阻尼低频振荡的手段,也是国际大电网会议推荐的首选措施。近年来,随着电网规模的不断扩大,低频振荡的发生也越来越多,于是各国及各省纷纷在电网中大量投入PSS装置,以抑制低频振荡,加强系统阻尼,提高电网的动态稳定性。为此,分析了定能电厂1号、2号机组电力系统稳定器(PSS)的试验结果,所整定的PSS对于抑制低频振荡效果显著,并针对试验中出现的问题,给出了PSS的一种改进模型。  相似文献

This paper will review some of the problems in controlling electrical motive energy on an industrial machine during operational and maintenance intervention and will present an update on the proposed solutions. Nowadays many algorithms have been proposed for harmonic estimation in a power system. Most of them deal with this estimation as a totally nonlinear problem. Consequently, these methods either converge slowly, like GA algorithm [U. Qidwai, M. Bettayeb, GA based nonlinear harmonic estimation, IEEE Trans. Power Delivery (December) 1998], or need accurate parameter adjustment to track dynamic and abrupt changes of harmonics amplitudes, like adaptive Kalman filter (KF) [Steven Liu, An adaptive Kalman filter for dynamic estimation of harmonic signals, in: 8th International Conference On Harmonics and Quality of Power, ICHQP’98, Athens, Greece, October 14–16, 1998]. In this paper a novel hybrid approach, based on the decomposition of the problem into a linear and a nonlinear problem, is proposed. A linear estimator, i.e., Least Squares (LS), which is simple, fast and does not need any parameter tuning to follow harmonics amplitude changes, is used for amplitude estimation and an adaptive linear combiner called ‘Adaline’, which is very fast and very simple is used to estimate phases of harmonics. An improvement in convergence and processing time is achieved using this algorithm. Moreover, better performance in online tracking of dynamic and abrupt changes of signals is the result of applying this method.  相似文献

中国电力工业正面临着重大的市场化改革,跨大区的三峡电力市场建设势在必行。由于三峡电力市场的跨大区性质,及考虑到未来中国电力市场的建设,电力市场的层次结构是一个十分重要、值得探讨的问题。文中首先提出了三峡电力市场的设计原则,进而借鉴国际电力市场设计和运行的经验教训,依据中国电力工业的现状和可能的发展趋势,分析了未来中国电力市场架构的3种可能性:一是国家和省市两级电力市场;二是国家和大区两级电力市场;三是国家、大区和省市三级电力市场。建议在逐步建立国家电力市场并在相当长的一段时间内采用国家-大区-省市三级电力市场的同时,应发展和加强大区的电力市场,最终过渡到国家-大区两级电力市场。在此基础上,进一步讨论了三峡电力市场的结构和市场参与者。  相似文献

Under the auspices of the European Microwave Association (EuMA) the 11th annual European Microwave Week was organized in the Amsterdam RAI Congress Centre, The Netherlands, 27-31 October 2008. This major event consisted this year of five conferences, an exhibition, and various side events. The 38th European Microwave Conference (EuMC), the Third European Microwave Integrated Circuits Conference (EuMIC), the Fifth European Radar Conference (EuRAD), and the First European Wireless Technology Conference (EuWiT) were complemented by the Military Radar Conference 2008. The latter was organized by Defence IQ in London and collocated with the Microwave Week for the fi rst time by invitation of the EuMA and the local organizers. 三峡电力市场是中国第1个跨大区的电力市场,它的建设有着十分重要的意义。文中探讨了三峡电力市场的竞争模式,并对交易的商品、方式和机构进行了分析。建议三峡电力市场采用批发模式,且只从事期货和现货主电能交易及事故备用容量期货交易。在三峡电力市场初始运行时期,可不设立备用容量现货交易市场。三峡电力市场不提供辅助服务中的无功与电压控制和负荷频率控制,也不设实时电力电量平衡调节市场。由于三峡电力市场涉及分层的问题,因此还讨论了三峡电力市场与区域电力市场间的关系。  相似文献
