This paper introduces a Web-based control laboratory for experimentation on a nonlinear multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) system: the three-tank plant. Using this application, automation technician students can learn in a practical way many fundamental aspects of control processes. The client-side of the virtual laboratory has been developed using the programming support provided by Easy Java Simulations (EJS), an open-source tool for teachers with limited programming skills who want to create Java applications and applets. The lab has been integrated in the collaborative Web-based experimentation environment eMersion which provides more flexibility for the students performing the laboratory experiments.  相似文献

随着电力体制改革和电力市场化的深入,关口电能计量的监督与管理已成为电网公司的一个重要的课题,为此,开发了基于Web的省网关口电能计量装置监督管理系统。该系统采用分布式浏览器-服务器(B/S)与客户-服务器(C/S)结合的体系结构,应用了Web技术、数据库技术和中间件技术,具有Web模式下的数据实时采集处理、统计分析、信息查询与发布等功能,该系统能进行关口计量装置管理、标准装置管理、计量人员管理、计量器具校验管理、系统管理与维护和综合统计查询管理。实际应用表明:系统安全可靠,效率高,使用简单,扩展维护方便。  相似文献

Teaching computer engineering calls for an important practical component, usually covered by setting several laboratory exercises for each course. These exercises are specified as assignments by the teachers and have to be completed by the students. At the Computer Science School of the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), Madrid, Spain, some of these laboratory exercises have to be set for up to 400 students. High-quality laboratory work requires the use of technology to help in student management, interaction, and assessment. Over the last ten years, this department at UPM has been a site for new tool development. Students use these tools to submit their laboratory work over the network. These tools allow the students' work to be checked by a battery of tests proposed by the instructor. In addition, a specific tool has been built to detect plagiarism by students. This work describes the services provided by this environment and the experience gathered during the use of this laboratory.  相似文献

A Web-Based Remote Access Laboratory Using SCADA   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The Internet provides an opportunity for students to access laboratories from outside the campus. This paper presents a Web-based remote access real-time laboratory using SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) control. The control of an induction motor is used as an example to demonstrate the effectiveness of this remote laboratory, using real instruments (a two-level inverter, measurement equipment, a magnetic powder brake and an ac/dc converter). A programmable logic controller (PLC) was programmed to control the operation of the system and a SCADA system was installed to monitor and control of the process. Some limitations were placed on the PLC program to protect the motor from overloading and going over maximum speed. The remote laboratory presented here offers an economical solution for multiple users in a laboratory environment. This system allows the students to access real instruments in a real laboratory via the Internet. Additionally, the suggested architecture helps improve students' skills on SCADA systems in use in industry. The Web interface was designed using Visual Studio with ASP.NET, which allows students to access the lab and information about the experiment.   相似文献

Push技术作为第三代浏览器的核心技术,是一种客户机/服务器之间的通信方式,它采用了公布/订阅/行结构,因而对其应用非常广泛。基于Web的网络管理系统采纳Push技术后,与传统的请求/响应模式相比,效率高,时延低,并且可以节省带宽和CPU时间。而且,对于告警信息的及时上报有重要意义。文中提出了基于Web的TMN管理实例,并在此基础上探讨了应用Push技术实现告警功能的方法。  相似文献

An open-source management system of Web-based teaching interventions is presented that can be used in general for science curriculum courses and especially for computer science courses. The proposed solution is called System of Teaching Intelligent Interventions (STII) and facilitates the authoring, deployment, and evaluation of Web-based metaphors. This paper discusses the use of metaphors for assisting students to comprehend the substance of cognitive concepts and their basic background. STII has been applied in a particular educational scenario during the learning process of 228 students attending the course ldquocomputer applications.rdquo The presentation of results from a pilot evaluation of two metaphors demonstrates the usefulness of the system. The evaluation focuses on the impact of the two metaphors on student learning, and on detecting potential correlations between metaphors and students' groups. STII evaluation conclusions strongly support that multimedia metaphors can be used as an alternative instructional tool to assist students in confronting their cognitive constraints and developing functional understanding of curriculum courses.  相似文献

Distance learning is an emerging paradigm where students, teachers, and equipment may be at different geographic locations. At the College of Engineering of Oregon State University, we have developed and demonstrated an innovative real-time remote-access control engineering teaching laboratory. Our remote laboratory uses the Internet to provide complete access to the usual laboratory facilities. In addition, remote power control, network reliability, and safety features are integrated into our experimental hardware and software design. Remotely located students are able to develop, compile, debug, and run controllers in real time on the experiments in our laboratory. Students can watch the experiment in real time from a remote workstation, hear the sounds in the laboratory, and interact with other laboratory users. Students can effectively use the laboratory from anywhere on the Internet  相似文献
