海洋生物粘附在海洋设备(如船舶)上所造成的生物污损危害极大。为减少这类危害而出现了众多的海洋防污技术。其中在海洋设备上涂刷海洋防污涂料具有应用广、效果好及操作简单等优点,因而受到学术界及工业界的广泛关注。本文就海洋防污涂料的研究状况作一简要的综述,同时简要介绍我国在海洋防污涂料方面的研究与应用状况。  相似文献

Polymer brush coatings for combating marine biofouling   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
A variety of functional polymer brushes and coatings have been developed for combating marine biofouling and biocorrosion with much less environmental impact than traditional biocides. This review summarizes recent developments in marine antifouling polymer brushes and coatings that are tethered to material surfaces and do not actively release biocides. Polymer brush coatings have been designed to inhibit molecular fouling, microfouling and macrofouling through incorporation or inclusion of multiple functionalities. Hydrophilic polymers, such as poly(ethylene glycol), hydrogels, zwitterionic polymers and polysaccharides, resist attachment of marine organisms effectively due to extensive hydration. Fouling release polymer coatings, based on fluoropolymers and poly(dimethylsiloxane) elastomers, minimize adhesion between marine organisms and material surfaces, leading to easy removal of biofoulants. Polycationic coatings are effective in reducing marine biofouling partly because of their good bactericidal properties. Recent advances in controlled radical polymerization and click chemistry have also allowed better molecular design and engineering of multifunctional brush coatings for improved antifouling efficacies.  相似文献

During the past decades, much effort has been made to find efficient alternative solutions to prevent and/or disrupt the adhesion of fouling organisms to surfaces. The use of enzymes emerges among the investigated approaches as one of the favorite candidate antifouling technologies due to enzymes' biodegradability and affordable prices. An overview of the different enzymatic antifouling strategies is presented, highlighting the most promising groups of enzymes, and their utilization upon surface-confinement to control biofouling. While the main strategies to control marine biofouling include the degradation of secreted adhesives and the production of antifouling compounds, the main concepts to control pathogenic biofilms are based on cell lysis and on the degradation of extracellular matrix polymers. Although immobilization can improve enzyme stability, activity and antifouling performance, up to date relatively few scientific articles concerning the use of immobilized enzymes to control biofouling have been published. The successful incorporation of enzymes into coatings yielding surfaces with broad antifouling spectrum and long-term efficacy remains a challenge.  相似文献

Marine fouling is the result of the settling and subsequent growth of marine organisms on surfaces immersed in seawater. The most successful principle in use today for the protection of ship's hulls against this unwanted growth is the release of bioactive materials from antifouling coatings.

Antifouling coatings containing a mixture of cuprous oxide and triorganotin compounds in combination with sophisticated release mechanisms are considered to be today's most efficient systems. However, ever since the first biologically active materials were introduced into antifouling coatings, a search for alternatives has been continuing. Until the mid-1970s this research mainly involved the development of biocides which could simply prolong existing drydocking intervals, i.e. prolong the period in which the ship was fouling free. During the last decade, however, environmental aspects have become a top priority in the development of new biocides for antifouling coatings.  相似文献

Our research strives to understand and construct polymer surfaces with no inherent power to interact with other materials, especially with the biological polymers used by marine organisms to bind themselves to objects in the sea. During the past 15 years we have synthesized polymers, formulated them into coatings, and measured their resistance to marine fouling in both static and dynamic testing. The polymer surface property which has been most frequently correlated with bioadhesion is critical surface tension (γc); in fact, a generalized relationship between γc and marine fouling has been known for more than twenty years. However, this behavior is also influenced by other bulk and surface properties of the polymer. This paper presents several alternative interpretations of the relationship between γc and bioadhesion, and uses these insights to develop requirements for polymers which refuse or resist strong bonds to other materials.  相似文献

The undesirable accumulation of marine organisms on any surfaces immersed in seawater is termed as marine fouling. This natural phenomenon contributes a major economic concern for marine industries, e.g. for ships, vessels, oil, wind-turbine sea-platforms, pipelines, water valves and filters by limiting the performances of the devices and materials. In the last decades, several efforts have been employed in the development of efficient antifouling (AF) coatings by following the recent trend in materials science. There has been an intense research effort in the last decades in the field of biofouling prevention as it concerns many aspects of everyday life and causes problems to devices, the environment, and human health. Many different antifouling and antimicrobial materials have been developed to struggle against bacteria and other micro- and macro-organism attachment to different surfaces. However the “miracle solution” has still to be found. The research presented here concerns the synthesis of bio-based polymeric materials and the biological tests that showed their antifouling and, at the same time, antibacterial activity. The raw material used for the coating synthesis was natural rubber. The polyisoprene chains were fragmented to obtain oligomers, which had reactive chemical groups at their chain ends, therefore they could be modified to insert polymerizable and biocidal groups. Films were obtained by radical photopolymerization of the natural rubber derived oligomers and their structure was altered, in order to understand the mechanism of attachment inhibition and to increase the efficiency of the anti-biofouling action. The adhesion of three species of pathogenic bacteria and six strains of marine bacteria was studied. The coatings were able to inhibit bacterial attachment by contact, as it was verified that no detectable leaching of toxic molecules occurred.  相似文献

Marine biofouling is of major economic concern to all marine industries. The shipping trade is particularly alert to the development of new antifouling (AF) strategies, especially green AF paint as international regulations regarding the environmental impact of the compounds actually incorporated into the formulations are becoming more and more strict. It is also recognised that vessels play an extensive role in invasive species propagation as ballast waters transport potentially threatening larvae. It is then crucial to develop new AF solutions combining advances in marine chemistry and topography, in addition to a knowledge of marine biofoulers, with respect to the marine environment. This review presents the recent research progress made in the field of new non-toxic AF solutions (new microtexturing of surfaces, foul-release coatings, and with a special emphasis on marine natural antifoulants) as well as the perspectives for future research directions.  相似文献

Antifouling coatings for ship hulls are a very important topic in coating research. They are essential with respect to fuel consumption of ships: without antifouling coating, biological species start to adhere to the ship’s exterior, leading to a gradual increase in fuel consumption. To date, the working principle of most of the paint systems applied is based on slow release of toxins in time (self-polishing coatings). In this article, we discuss the environmental impact of marine antifouling coatings based on quantitative data available from literature. In addition, we critically review hydrophilic antifouling and hydrophobic foul-release coatings as toxin-free alternatives and discuss their potential for replacing self-polishing coatings.  相似文献

With restrictions on the use of metallic biocides in aquatic antifouling coatings, it is important to develop new methods to both contain and deliver these alternative compounds from marine coatings systems. Utilization of microencapsulation is one approach to the delivery of biocides that has not been utilized in the mainstream of antifouling paint formulations. When formulating next generation paints that utilize hydrophobic nonmetallic biocides, it is necessary to develop an understanding of the release kinetics of the compounds from model polymeric coatings in order to better develop methods for providing long-term efficacy. The biocide 4,5-dichloro-2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one is a nonmetallic and nonenvironmentally persistent biocide that has been registered in several countries for use as an antifouling agent and has gained approval by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The release characteristics of this biocide from copper microtubules as well as polymeric films were determined by high performance liquid chromatography. 针对海洋腐蚀对海洋工程的影响及防腐蚀的意义,详细论述了海洋防腐涂料的种类、性能、要求,国际海工防腐标准对涂层配套的技术要求和试验指标,对当前长寿命、低表面处理、高固体分、无溶剂、水性化、环保低毒等海洋防腐涂料的研究重点及进展进行了介绍,分析了海洋防腐涂料应用现状及存在的问题,探讨了长寿命防腐涂料和高耐久复合涂层体系,提出了同寿命涂层设计理念。针对与国外的差距,提出了我国应加强基础性研究以及人才培养的建议。  相似文献
